In my opinion, if you're competing at this level, mental preparation should not be an issue. You're not getting a free education to show up for games unprepared. It's kind of like if you are a back up goaltender, you should always warm up like you're going to play because if you're not prepared when you get sent into the game... all you're doing is letting your team down. So in short, always prepare like you're going to be playing.

Well... a reeeeaaaaaalllly long time ago when we had that fog out game at Boston College, an establishment formerly known as "Boston's" had the game on. Of course CBS College Sports was known as CSTV back then. Oh, memories.... I don't live in GF anymore, but I feel as though BWW's would have the game. I'd make a call and find out.

This is the most ridiculous thread EVER. I feel sorry for those who legitimately believe Hakstol should be fired. Yeah, because that makes all the sense in the world...

Do you ever post anything positive? Or is it always negative with you? It seems there is an increase in posters around here when there's something to complain about....and I am wondering if you are one of those people?

this sucks. that's all.

this is like maine all over again. 4 for 4 on the powerplay. this is fabulous.

I'd say there is a lack of d-men for next year concern over anticipation of anyone leaving early. I don't see any D leaving early. My google research has quite a few USHL fights popping up on this kid. And I see he's captain of his team, so he's got some leadership abilities. EDIT: Here's an article about him from November: http://wcfcourier.com/sports/article_8f9dfb06-f798-11df-aa6a-001cc4c002e0.html

If any of the D need to get their act together, I'm sorry but I'll say Forbort. Last weekend, if they would have moved Marto back to D, I was in favor of Forbort sitting in the stands on Saturday night. Like him a lot, but he just... I don't know... was not real impressed with his play lately. (that's the nicest way I could put it).

I don't think thats a very good reason....

I heard he had narrowed it to Minnesota and UNO, but then after that was a LONG time ago. And then after that someone had mentioned we were pursuing him. So I do not know what the deal is.

We're not short at guys who can play center. We're just short on guys with experience at it at the collegiate level. Lammy plays center, Rowney can play center, if Cichy plays I've seen him at center before. The fourth line center can be interchangeable and I think Lammy is in that role because of his experience. I do agree Lammy's offensive production is lacking. When I see him on a breakaway I think that I wish it was someone else. (Like Trupp haha).

I hope we destroy these guys. Both nights. And... I will be there... in person...on Saturday with my sister who has never been to a hockey game in her life. First trip to the Ralph this year. So ready.

You know... if you don't like our opinions.... there are other places to hang around....lots of places.

WOW. Are you serious? I'm just glad I'm not as dumb as Jay Barriball. And yes, I will say that to his face the next time I see him.
-
Well guys... I went to the store today so I'm prepared for this game. Now I hope the boys are ready to play as well.

Fratts for me.

Like I said!

Need to score on one of these PP's. and that's an understatement.

My thoughts... for the love of pete we need another d-man recruit for next year. If anything to make it more competitive in practice for those final lineup spots.

It's not that I feel Duluth isn't good. Talented team, no doubt. I just don't feel they are AS GOOD as they are hyped up to be by certain media outlets. In regards to Yale and us losing to them last year, no question we took them lightly. Frattin even admitted it on the radio after the game on Saturday. Anything can happen in a one and done tournament, but after taking the last 2 opponents in the NCAA's lightly, I don't think we will lose due to taking an opponent lightly this year.

On the Gophers? Well, Jay Barriball is a 5th year senior so he was on the Gophers team that we beat in OT in Denver to go to the Frozen Four when it was in St Louis. Wasn't that Gophers team ranked number one a lot of that season? The rest of the seniors had a winning season the following year, but they sneaked into the NCAAs that year with a good performance at the Final Five, and I don't know if that necessarily qualifies as a good season. Perhaps, but not by Gopher standards. I'd say Barriball is the only guy on the Gopher team that knows winning.

he took a shot after the whistle up high from stephen johns from notre dame, but he seemed to be fine after that. Weird his injury occurred the week following that game.
-
it's been said in a few places that everything is all fine and dandy with yale hockey and that the player in question is eligible to play. investigation done.

That was terrible. I'm pretty sure my neighbors in my apt complex could hear me yelling at the tv. I will never understand this goal review crap. I too have given up on understanding.
