dynasty, shmynasty. overrated is more like. dynasties don't give up a frickin game tying goal 13 seconds after you score on home ice. tampa will be as much as dynasty as them with their second cup in the last 11 years as well. congrats. well done. don't burn the town down. is it october yet?
-
reminds me of watching und in frozen fours the past few years. dominate play with nothing to show for it.
-
good thing mr. sharp is probably in his last days in a hawks uniform.
-
dynasty shmynasty. teams that are on the verge of being called a dynasty don't blow second period leads with a chance to go up 2-0 in a series. they build on them and go up 2-0, i.e. the redwings of the late 90's and even the islanders of the early 80's. you have the chance to put a stranglehold on this series and let it slip away and allow a backup goalie to come in and get the win. good lord. maybe my expectations are too high.
-
good lord. you have a golden chance to go up 2-0 and you just let tampa back in the series.
-
not sure who siouxsweet is, but if I need to complain as much during this series and they end up winning the Cup so be it.
-
so in that case, Ducks will win.
-
if the hawks are going to win they need to score the first goal(s) and supplant even more doubt into anaheim's mind. they have blown a 3-2 lead the last three years and lost game 7 on home ice the last two. ducks head coach was acting last night like the pressure is already getting to him by stating he was only going to talk about his team and not the other team during his presser.
-
so much for the coming out and playing with desperation attitude from the blackhawks. a mind numbing 6 shots that period. whew. I hope they didn't tire themselves out too early. ducks have to be jumping for joy after weathering that storm.

Dave Hakstol Leaving to Coach NHL Philadelphia Flyers
siouxweet replied to Ray77's topic in Men's Hockey
he also said it was the strength of a program to not lose anyone. the point I'm trying to make is one of the first names to come up over the years if Hak ever left is Sandelin. he has a good resume, one that includes a natty, being an assistant under Blais, being a good recruiter and an Alum of UND. was that avenue even explored? I don't think anyone would have been disappointed had that avenue been explored. Why didn't Schlossman or any other reporter ask the question? or do some probing in the days after? instead they don't want to ruffle any feathers and have their interview credentials taken away. I mean what's the toughest question Schlossman has ever asked? any updates on Chay? Were Ohio State fans disappointed when Urban Meyer was hired instead of Luke Fickell? -

that's not the impression Berry gave during his presser. having an Alum as a coach who has won a title would have made everyone jump that could? -

I thought it was the program not the head coach was the reason why none of the recruits jumped. -

actually I was taking a shot more at the kiss ass let's not write anything negative media here in grand forks. this goes beyond hockey. I wish Hakstol all the best and I wish he were still the coach and I will root for him all but two games a year. my point was more of at Berry's hiring and everyone applauding it. is he the best hire-maybe, probably. but no one even wrote an article questioning as to why not look at former alum Sandelin or even Eades. Sandelin has more titles this current coaching staff had combined. with Hakstol we knew what we had and could expect. the grass isn't always greener on the other side for those who are probably loading up Hakstol's items in the moving van as we speak.. -

I'm sure it's been said on here before, but Hakstol will not get any free rides from the Philly media like here did here in Grand Forks. Nor the fans as they are the ones that booed Santa Claus and Mike Schmidt. -
the Hawks game plan this night-let them have it. we will not play hard tonight-get some rest and come back for games 6 and 7.
-
for the first time i these playoffs the pressure falls on the ducks tonight. for the hawks it is all about game 6. a hawks win tonight and they can close it it out in game 6 and if they don't they won't win game 7. in this scenario as they aren't winning 3 games in anaheim. lose tonight, win game 6 and come back and have a good chance at winning game 7.

for 10 minutes too long. you can't tell me that he is better than some of the other d men that are sitting.

hawks have had 2 golden chances

hawks look tired. play seems like it is entirely in hawks zone.

down in a series 2-1 and give up three in 37 seconds will do that. go eastern conference winner whoever you are.
-
having to score two goals to save their season. in a playoffs where they have struggled to score. good luck.

game, set, match.

the myth that is a good blackhawks offense has shown up again. 14 periods played and only 6 goals. if anaheim gets the next one this baby is all but over. go rangers/bolts.
