March 25, 2005-Dave Hakstol made his NCAA tournament debut as head coach and the Sioux beat BU 4-0 in the first game of the mini Bean Pot run for UND. As we all know that was also the last season UND made it to the championship game. Here's to Berry and co. beating another HE squad in the first round and hopefully make it back to the title game in a few weeks and right the ship from the past decade in the Frozen Four.

Compared to a year ago It will be real interesting to see how they come out on Friday. Last year they pissed around that the NCHC Frozen thingy in Minneapolis knowing they had 5000 Sioux fans waiting for them at Scheels arena. This year they will have 25 Sioux fans waiting for them in Cincy after they pissed around at the NCHC Frozen thingy.

The problem isn't that they can't beat Minnesota or Wisconsin in the post season,it is that they consistently lose to teams they shouldn't during the regular season that kills their rpi.

you must have me confused with someone else:) My only complaint about Hakstol over the years was that in some of the biggest gamest games the team came out flat unprepared. I never once called for or made mention that UND could do better with someone else. I would usually have my November the season is over rant,but that was nothing against Hakstol it was just that the team was usually 6-8 and sitting 35th in the pairwise.

what happened this weekend is something that hasn't happened in 11 years-getting swept in February. The last time is happened was in Hak's first year at home against Denver as well. This squad has been on cruise control for the most part this season and has gotten away several times with not playing very well and getting a win despite. Maybe Brad will have their full attention this week. If this is their low point of the season, so be it as long as they are playing their best hockey of the year starting the second weekend in March and on.
