So what you're saying, PCM, is that just because one person finds an action offensive, it does not mean that the action is offensive or was ever meant to be? Are you truly implying that everyone can and will consider various actions differently, and it would be ludicrous to deem behavior "offensive" based on the opinion of very few? What a novel idea.
  2. Sorry, man... you lost all your credibility right there...

    2007 schedule

McFeely throws a couple jabs at Taylor. Funny... I actually agree with him.
  4. But at the same time I respectfully ask that he stays off the forum for future Sioux/ Gopher weeks. No offense man... but look at the results!

I HONESTLY wouldn't give a rats behind. Chances are I wouldn't know the guy/ be able to recognize him anyway. Besides... it's a sieve chant for crying out loud. Does anyone really care? If so, I would suggest purchasing another layer of skin. I can't believe how careful we have to be these days to act "PC" so not to hurt anyone's feelings. Tom B: Nice to see all the support you show at sporting events. Please don't raise ticket prices this year. Thanks.
  6. Last time I checked, Frank was an absolute tool.
  7. No.
  8. And here I thought they just couldn't skate. Seriously, if "embellishment" against a hard nosed UND team was part of the game plan, it worked... look at the power play differences. Lots of questionable calls, and some obvious dives.
  9. Nice.
  10. For me, the loathing came naturally at a young age. No obnoxious fans to speak of, no fights in the parking lot, no beer and popcorn thrown in anger. I just don't like gopher hockey. At all.
  11. We've got to win this weekend. If we get swept, we'll likely end up travelling in the first round. That said, I think we have the tools to win, while the gophers just have tools. Time to put on the foil, and kick some gopher butt! Let's Go Sioux!
  12. Well said, hrkac.
  13. The ceremony was terrific. What a shame that I had never heard of this man before; how his papers were "lost" is disgraceful. I imagine it's one of many untold indignities to one of many of our nation's heros. Selfishly, I was proud when the gentleman mentioned his opinion of those of us that were standing even though we didn't know this man. He was right on the money.
  14. Sounds like a realistic assessment to me. Hard to cheer my a$$ off hile getting swept by tech, I really was not in the mood. Kudos to you for being such a paradigm Sioux fan.
  15. :drags conversation away from yet another 'REA atmosphere sucks' thread: Gophers are talented, but so are we. Sioux can and should take 2 points this weekend... maybe more!
  16. You must have some clout in that place by now. Last weekend my wife said she bets you're a medical student you've been there so many seasons.
  17. And Bina is at 0 with Chorney at a -3. Now tell me who you'd rather see on the ice at a critical point in the game.
  18. Joe Finley. Physical presence, great defensive vision, good hands and quick feet.
  19. Too funny.
  20. No... I'd be a pretty crappy fan if I did. Of course, if I wasn't a true fan, I probably wouldn't care that Tech and Alaska have more points than us in the conference. Maybe "casual Sioux fan" is the way to go... much easier to forgive and forget.
  21. We should fire Hakstol immediately and hire Blais if this is true.
  22. The recent stretch of final four appearances is not what brought me into the Fighting Sioux fan base. I went to UND in the early 90s... need I say more? I do, however, know the difference between a team that cannot succeed and a team that does not succeed. Given the tools we have, we are certainly not the former. I'm a true fan, and I am extremely unhappy with my favorite team. I don't see a problem with that. And as far as throwing players under a bus goes... maybe that would get get Finley's feet moving. I say try it.
  23. Stay positive my a$$. I cannot stay positive because right now I'm very negative. Right now, my favorite hockey team sucks.
  24. You have to keep in mind, we lost our biggest defensive leader over the summer, and it's been showing all season long. I think that's our biggest problem as far as defense is concerned. (The guy I'm talking about didn't wear a jersey either)
