Anyone else see any significance in these teams?

I think he'll be fine with a couple weeks rest... after all, he did skate a shift in the second period Friday night. Funny though, Hak says no comment. Drew says no comment. But we're such rubes for information that we post anything we hear to the message board. The team likely has good reason to keep details of the injury close to the vest...

Personally... I enjoyed the b**ch slapping that Radke put on the guy from Mankato a few weeks back. He's got my vote to fill the role.

Not to hijack... but is GPL permanently down, or is it standard site issues? I was trying to find out information on the Mankato suspensions and haven't been able to get on the site today...

With the family thing (grandkid?) and a son potentially in the NFL next year, (along with many fans who've lost all trust in him) I see him pulling the plug in a timely manner. After all, he's now the all-time winningest coach... seems to me like all capable missions are accomplished. In his weekly on-air interviews with Tim & Swyg, it's fairly obvious that he's seen the writing on the wall. For his reputation's sake, I hope he's read it carefully.

Conversely, a 3 game series might have taken away some of the banners we currently have. I've thought about it a lot, but ultimately think 1 game is the way to go. Yeah... sometimes you get robbed, but hey... it's the playoffs.

That's strange that those seats weren't part of someone's season ticket package, considering where they are... very surprising. In any event, nice grab on some good tickets! And you'll definitely get "a whiff" being in row C.

favorite goal scorer: Jason Blake... truly showed us that speed can kill. Man he was fast. favorite tough guy: Mike Commodore... favorite I've seen, but I'm sure I would've loved Archie. favorite set up guy: Zach Parise... saw the ice incredibly well. favorite goalie: Karl Goehring favorite fight: The intentional glove dropping of Prpich & Peluso. favorite sioux game ever attended: The huge 3rd period comeback against Minnesota. favorite hockey but not hockey moment: The first game after Ralph dies, the mic goes bad for the national anthem and the crowd sang it. Very emotional, you probably had to be there. A very close 2nd: Greene skating to the locker room after a penalty (Blais' rule that night) and then having to come back to sit in the box. After he served his time, straight back to the showers. favorite play: Absolutely impossible to pick one. favorite current player: Toews favorite team: 87... the first Sioux team I ever got to see in person. Awesome.

I've actually banged my head against the wall so much this season that I no longer hear the music... just a constant ringing. It's no longer is an issue for me; they could play Boxcar Willie for all I care.

They're just buying into Don Lucia's "natural rivalry" propoganda. I haven't yet.

So much for being a die-hard Sioux hockey fan. Good Lord.

This would be a considerable loss to UND. At least there's some consolation in the fact that he was "head-hunted" and not out looking for a new job. Aside... this really puts into perspective the heights BSU has their eye on, and it looks like they're going about it correctly.

Diggler, you bring up some good points... to a point. When I was that age, you are right... I didn't like to be bossed around, and I suppose I thought I could get away with pretty much everything when it came to hockey games. (evident by the number of "half glasses of coke" that were ordered from concessions) Entitlement, however, is something different. I never thought that it was my right to go to these games, rather my privelege. I never thought that if I broke the rules there wouldn't be consequences. If I was approached by one of these 45-60 year olds that you speak of, I treated them respectfully... even if I was thinking something different. As I've posted before, I sit in 107... closer to the student isle than the other one. I can put up with the language, and if the standing occurs when "play calls for it", I'm okay with that too. But some of the blatant disregard and disrespect for the staff at REA really drives me crazy. I've personally witnessed, and a number of times, a verbal lashing of the REA ushers by students. Whether the staff is young, old, or elderly, it doesn't matter... the student will say whatever they want, however they want. REA is partly to blame in this because they never kick anyone out for such rude behavior to set an example. Maybe the students should be forced to bring a grandparent to each game to accompany them. Then grandma can kick some manners into their arses like they should've done 18 years earlier. Granted, this doesn't mean the whole student section is doing this. It does, however, completely remove any symapthy that I have for the student section and their seating trouble.

With all due respect, the NCAA wasn't harrassing us about it until recently.

Right on Sic. There are undoubtedly more important things at stake. Ummm... so the crowds are the same? ;)

I'm all for his development, but IMO he has made too many positional errors that have cost odd-man rushes and ensuing opponent goals. I think he'll work out to be a dynamic player, but maybe needs to take a look from the seats to improve his game.

I say let Marvin and Radke play and sit Finley.
