Capitals23 is right: Toews should be producing more than he is, no question. Hakstol obviously can't get these guys to play 60 minutes each night, and nobody can figure out why. Lammy (just because I like nicknames ) is letting in pee wee league goals... the cheesey trickling wrister on Friday made me ill. So yes, I agree that there are problems abounding on this team. Now, to get back on topic, what good has Finley done this year? He's terribly slow to the puck, up the ice, in the defensive zone. He's likely had more passes picked than most of the rest on the team. His size does nothing for defense, and less for intimidation, because he doesn't back it up with physical play. Yes, I'm just a frustrated fan, but the big kid is pissin' me off.

That must be my cue. Greatest time at the new REA was the gopher loss, and Sioux domination at the '06 Regionals. Three historically great programs and a fourth that made history... how can you beat it? Seeing Lucia walk off the ice, staring at the celebrating croud, with a look of disbelief on his face was something I won't forget very soon... thankfully! (Being without a voice for the following three days will also not be forgotten.)

I'm a season ticket holder that did not go to the game on Saturday for the following reasons: 1) Nice weather for mid November. Got all of my outdoor "before the snow falls" work done that I had been putting off until now. 2) Watched the first Winona game, and expected a similar result. I love watching the Sioux win, but I didn't feel I "needed" to watch another blowout... especially for 60 bucks plus concessions/ tailgating. For me, that money is much better spent traveling to Omaha Friday night.

A typical banter more or less... but more specifically how a retailer mentioned not re-stocking "Fighting Sioux" apparel to him. I'm definitely paraphrasing here, but that was the just of it. (insert PCM disclaimer here)

A recent discussion on Tim & Swyg's show brought up the fact that the hard marketing of the "Force of the North" could possibly be leading to a name change to the same. At the time, I dismissed it entirely. After seeing it at the hockey games recently, (hockey never having to have a slogan to advertise) I've begun thinking differently. Anyone else think there's more afoot than just a catchy marketing slogan?

The coaching staff will discipline internally if necessary. If we see him on the ice Friday, we have nothing to talk about.

(won the coin toss) Radke or Kaip? Kaip... rhymes with snipe. Lee or Porter? I think Porter will win by a narrow margin. Bina or Miller? Bina wins the coin toss, but there's a lot of unknowns about his return.

The "religious right" crowd amounts to only a very small fraction of those of us who consider ourselves conservatives. Conservative and religious right are apples and oranges. To try to make a connection between the two is insulting and offensive.
