  1. A recent discussion on Tim & Swyg's show brought up the fact that the hard marketing of the "Force of the North" could possibly be leading to a name change to the same. At the time, I dismissed it entirely. After seeing it at the hockey games recently, (hockey never having to have a slogan to advertise) I've begun thinking differently. Anyone else think there's more afoot than just a catchy marketing slogan?
  2. The coaching staff will discipline internally if necessary. If we see him on the ice Friday, we have nothing to talk about.
  3. Anything found in the mail yet?
  4. I find that photo hostile and abusive.
  5. Personally, I don't care. The Vikings will dissapoint us no matter what they're wearing.
  6. Me too! Mark me down for Oct. 31.
  7. Oshie or Toews? Close one... but "Toews" rhymes with "saves" so I give Oshie the nod. Kozek or Duncan? Duncan. The best shot from the dot in the WCHA. Forney or Zajac? Zajac. (won the coin toss) Radke or Kaip? Kaip... rhymes with snipe. Lee or Porter? I think Porter will win by a narrow margin. Bina or Miller? Bina wins the coin toss, but there's a lot of unknowns about his return.
  8. I was hoping Mapletoft would apply...
  9. Agreed on all counts. Could've been much better.
  10. Man... this guy is young!
  11. Well put.
  12. The "religious right" crowd amounts to only a very small fraction of those of us who consider ourselves conservatives. Conservative and religious right are apples and oranges. To try to make a connection between the two is insulting and offensive.

    News on Toews

Of course I do. If I didn't, I'd watch the squirt games instead. Helluvalot cheaper tickets. Duh... I hope this question is rhetorical. I want #8... and if we get it by beating the gophers or BC or Umass or AA, I don't give a crap.
  15. A lot more people, a lot more cars... a lot less seating. Northwood really has a nice setup. (I'll be there too)
  16. I'll be in the Hatton, ND demolition derby. It's a 4th of July tradition! Nothing on this earth like like getting smashed and banging in public.
  17. Dr. Kupchella too...
  18. Please... no more cow town talk. It hurts my eyes and burns my nostrils.
  19. The Congressional Subdivision homes may provide what you're looking for. These are the homes west of interstate, and south of University Avenue. It's a jaunt for walking, but biking to campus would be a snap. I haven't lived in town for a few years, but I think the price range for these homes would be in the 150s... more or less.
  20. Of course he'll be back at UND next year. After all... he puked at the combine.
  21. FYI... Ticket renewals are due TODAY!
  22. Mine, I believe, was purchased at Scheels. (gift/ not positive) You might give them a call too.
  23. The circles I am in are concerned about competing, (mostly a concern with the basketball programs) conference affiliation, and putting UND athletics further into red ink. For me, it's an exciting but nervous time for UND sports. Lots of questions yet... hopefully we'll all find out the answers soon.
  24. Top speed in excess of 45km/h. Google rules.
  25. Okay... nerdophobes beware: Using 13.00 seconds; and a 435.99 foot linear path around the nets and dots; (using a 2.50 foot offset from the dots and the back of the net, and consistent 22.50 foot tangential radius for the turns) he got an average speed of 22.866 mph. While I didn't see it, I'm guessing this was from a dead stop. So... the 30-35 speeds, IMO sound pretty reasonable... especially on a straight stretch.
