  1. The Melville Millionaires? WTF?
  2. Isn't one of those next to Blarney's? Oh, wait, you're talking about Grand Forks, my bad.
  3. Maybe that guy that sold the goalie pads on Ebay can help us out and settle this issue once and for all?
  4. I don't know about you but I'm a bit tired of seeing the Gophers on about 3+ pages of pictures. MacNaughton Cup winners, Broadmoor Trophy winners, team photo... I'll be happy to get next year's calendar with CC pictured with the MacNaughton, Denver with the Broadmoor, and the Sioux holding the NCAA trophy.
  5. Dude, I'm sorry I missed the party celebrating your 10,000th post! Time-waster!
  6. Winner winner chicken dinner! Best episode ever. I love the scene when everyone is at Cheers is watching the game on TV and McHale walks across the game looking dazed and confused...he's counting bolts!
  7. Hmnnnnn...how many bolts are there in the floor of Boston Garden?
  8. I've always thought that that cracker jack box of an arena was 200x85.
  9. I'm up in GF about once a year. I live in Bloomington. You're more likely to see me in Mankato, St Cloud, or Mariucci.
  10. For the love of Christmas, can someone please do away with the stupid 'jersey-pop'? I see enough of that on the big-screen every single year at the Final Five. Yes, I know you're wearing the jersey of [insert team here: Wisconsin, St Cloud, North Dakota, Minnesota]. You don't need to 'pop' it to show it off to me. I know what the M, W, StC, and SIOUX stands for, thanks.
  11. I'm not so sure you'd want to do that, gopherz. It looks amazingly similar to another orange, white, and black jersey that you may have seen this season: The one sported by Rochester's Pride on Ice.
  12. I was just thinking the same thing! Another fan and I hopped on Al's bus in 2005 en route to Columbus. We had a great time.
  13. It's funny you should mention that because it was a story of mine at the Hoggsbreath on Saturday. Last year, one of the hockey dads saw me a week after the Minny win at the Final Five and mentioned that he was surprised I was wearing my Sioux gear and how I must've gotten over the heartbreaking loss at the Final Five! After some discussion, it was determined that he had no idea that the NCAA tournament was still being played. WOW.
  14. Dude, I'm the Cliff Clavin of remembering stupid details of every hockey game I've been to or seen on TV. Now if I could just remember important things...like where I put my license tab renewal form...
  15. That goalie was none other than Tony Quesada. If memory serves me right, didn't he toss his cookies right on the ice at some point early in the game? You think that kid was nervous?
  16. I watched the Sioux/Holy Cross game at Old Chicago in Roseville. I was watching the Sioux/Denver game when the screen went blank late in the 3rd period. How did I find out? Via text message.
  17. How quickly we forget. The team who played the Sioux tough in 2004 was none other than Holy Cross. I bet 2/3 of people who saw the western regional in Engelstad a few years ago had no idea... One might think Michigan would keep their mouth shut given the fact that in March of 2001, while most people were predicting an 8 or 10-0 win against Mercyhurst, the mighty Wolverines held off the Lakers in a 4-3 regional game in Grand Rapids. Never overlook your opponent.
  18. Talk about billboard material for Niagara. I hope they play like they did in 2000 when they stunned UNH!
  19. Sioux-cia bought her tickets from a scalper on the street corner. He will be mailing her the information packet next January.
  20. Outside of the small-towners (and I mean that term nicely) thinking a 1.5 hour side-trek to Cracker Barrel wouldn't come back to haunt us, the experience was AWESOME! What made yours so bad?
  21. BC has made it to the Frozen Four what, 6 or 7 of the past 10 years and has exactly 1 title to show for it. It's not as easy as it looks. Just ask DUKE! Sorry about ps$$in' you off. That brings up bad memories for me too, having paid for a ticket but being over-ruled by the rest of Al Pearson's bus-riders who wanted to stop for breakfast in Champagne, IL, on the Thursday am of the NCAA Frozen Four. One car accident 30 minutes outside of Columbus later, we're sitting in traffic for 2/3 of the DU/CC hockey game.
  22. The 2004-2005 Frozen Four wasn't that long ago, was it?
  23. I'm looking to travel with my six year old son and am looking to do it cheaply. A limo probably isn't the way to go.
