  1. Over 4,000 watch Michigan/Niagara. Notre Dame/UNH listed as over 6,600. No numbers posted for St Cloud/Clarkson.
  2. Good luck with that, then. Notre Dame squeaks into the NCAA's and takes out Hockey East's regular season champ without too much trouble. I'd say Colorado College had better be careful!
  3. It certainly would if CCHA, HE, or ECAC officials are calling the game.
  4. Anyone still calling it the Cup Cake Hockey Association?
  5. I agree totally and am with you on not caring who is at fault and who is to blame. There is no excuse for watching cactus league baseball, 2007 Twins re-runs, or poker without having the choice to watch something else. It's ridiculous. As I mentioned earlier, I thought Michigan/Niagara was on channelsurfing.net earlier today, then it disappeared. Am I missing something?
  6. 14:00 left in the 2nd. ND on ANOTHER power play.
  7. I could have sworn that earlier today I saw the Michigan/Niagara game listed on channelsurfing.net. Now it is not there. Anyone have the 4-1-1? Irish goal. 3-2 Notre Dame early in the 2nd period.
  8. And I flip on ESPN now and ****ING FIGURE SKATING is on. Excuse me while I go puke.
  9. I edited my last post. I can't access the feed because Comcast doesn't offer Espn360.com.
  10. Where can I watch the Notre Dame/UNH game, AZSIOUX? Espn360.com? Channelsurfing.net? WTF? I can't watch it on TV, now I can't watch it on my computer because COMCAST doesn't offer Espn360.com? What the he** am I paying $140 a month for, NOT-tastic?
  11. A missed shot short of being right on. Bye bye St Cloud.
  12. St C got their 1 as I predicted. Clarkson gets a late goal and an empty netter and I'm MONEY. In the words of PacMan Jones, "make it rain!".
  13. That could happen in any gear on the UM campus, couldn't it?
  14. I think attendance at all regionals is hurt by one main factor: Economics. College hockey is a niche sport. How many fans from Grand Forks or Princeton will pack up and go see a regional in Madison, WI, then turn around two weeks later and head to Denver? Most will hope their team makes the Frozen Four and make a trip. This isn't NCAA basketball where you stick a regional in nowhere-land and maybe people will come to see Kansas, Duke, or North Carolina...OF COURSE people will go see those teams play. The fan base is much bigger. Travel costs aside, I think the NCAA needs to get back to schools playing host to other schools. You're #1, you get to host #16. You're #8, you get to host #9. Your team barely qualified for the tournament as #15, you don't get to host a regional, you go on the road. Like I said, I know the travel costs is a big factor for the regionals but college hockey looks just sad playing in 10,000 or 12,000 seat venues and there are 1,000 fans in attendance.
  15. I'm not surprised at all. Last year's eastern and northeastern regionals were sparsely populated too.
  16. Think of it this way, gopherz, you might still have time to run over to The College Shop at the Mall of America and pick up some Sioux gear after BC eliminates the Gophers Saturday night if you're in Bloomington. If you're in Roseville, you're stuck wearing your Gopher gear all the way back to campus.
  17. They played tough against the Sioux in a weekend where UND had nothing to gain and St Cloud had positioning to play for. As far as taking the #7 team in the conference "to the brink" in the Final Five, most fans I talked with felt St Cloud was a sluggish, disinterested team who consistently got beat to loose pucks. Kinda like last year's team...and the one before that...and the one before that... Plenty of people picked them to go a long ways last year, too, and Maine absolutely dismantled the Huskies. Clarkson doesn't have that kind of firepower, but a jittery goaltender will do SCSU in. 3-1 Clarkson.
  18. With all due respect to your opinion, SIOUXELEVENS, I enjoy having MTU, UMD, and MN, and WI fans on the Sioux board to kind of liven things up. I throw in my two cents once in a while on GopherPuckLive. The more college hockey fans, the better, I say.
  19. Even though I'm no fan of Goldy, this Holy Cross thing has been beaten to death. At this stage of the game, there have been enough upsets in recent memory to warrant a video-taped replay of the Crusaders' game-winner to every NCAA team so that they know not to take someone for granted as a cupcake.
  20. Women's DII Championships SDSU won the title in 2003. Good call.
