If you like to pay $15 for a burger, fries, and a pop, then Wild Tymes is your place!

No, I didn't. I had 4-5 calls with offers for tickets, most around 1 pm or so. I was so close to pullin' the trigger but Mafia Jr was grumbling about the long drive and I decided to just 86 the idea. Of course, after we went to the Mall of America for an afternoon/evening of theme park rides, he decided he wished we had gone to see the Sioux play. By then, it was a little late to make the drive...

Looking for Two for Friday and Saturday Night
MafiaMan replied to MafiaMan's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
Sorry, iramurphy, I had about a half-dozen calls while I was hangin' out with MafiaMan Jr and decided that I would just wait it out to the Final Five. I want to thank everyone who PM'd or called...I wussed out on the long drive there and back. I appreciate everyone who wanted to hook me up and help me out. Go Sioux! -
That's right...it's time for the attendance guess-timate.

Looking for Two for Friday and Saturday Night
MafiaMan replied to MafiaMan's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
Haven't logged in since my post and gave up on the idea after I knew I couldn't sneak out of work early Friday...discovered last night that MacNaughton Cup won't make an appearance until tonight assuming the Sioux win...bottom line, if I find tickets by 1:00 pm today, I'm out the door and headed up to Grand Forks... 612-386-8207. I'd like lower bowl, please. Last-minute road trips are fun! -
Don't make me post pictures from The Platinum Fox, YaneA! P.S. I just put up a post in 'tickets wanted'...I am seriously mulling over a drive to GF this weekend.
-
Does anyone have a line on two decent seats for this weekend's series? I am thinking that with MafiaMan Jr's mites hockey season ending, it might be time for a drive to Grand Forks for some Sioux hockey...
-
YaneA and Siouxmama said that while they're in the big city, they'd like me to show them around. I told them they could meet some "gentlemen" in Inver Grove Heights so they're pretty excited about going to this King of Diamonds place.
-
Sheesh...I must've been really drunk that night. I usually don't give my number out to anyone.
-
I wasn't 'trashing' Northeastern, just pointing out a fact. They've had a great season and I'm glad to see a non-traditional hockey team emerge, much like Notre Dame did last year. I'm simply pointing out that Minnesota doesn't tend to invite any real talent to their own tournament and it was a matter of sheer luck that Northeastern all of a sudden threw together a decent team this year.
-
I was aware of the host-regional rule, but honestly, I lost interest in bouncy-ball years ago when it became far cooler to dunk on someone and woof in their face even if you're losing by 30 points as opposed to actually winning the game. Oh, that and the fact that I wish basketball players had more tattoos, too, because they're far cooler than hockey players that way.
-
The Gophers won't be in that tournament either. C'mon out to the Hoggsbreath for breakfast.
-
I wouldn't resort to that at all. I'd just like to give yet another Gopher fan the opportunity to show how classy he is by stopping over and saying something interesting. Considering that my Gopher buddy and I make bets at every Final Five when the Sioux and Gophers play each other that results in one of us wearing a jersey that he hates to the next year's Final Five and the fact that I wasn't afraid to have a not-so-friendly chat with some drunk morons disguised as Sioux fans at last year's Final Five, I'd like to think that I'm not the idiot that gopherz seems to think I am.
-
Settle down there, little fella...I think someone's mommy needs to step in and put him down for some nappy time. Another keyboard tough guy, huh? Tell you what, come WCHA Final Five time, I'll be sure to let you know my section and seat number so you can stop by and call me 'stupid' and 'clueless' to my face. That'll give you a chance to enlighten me on your keen insight of college hockey. Sound good, Obi-won?

Those birds of similar feathers do flock together, don't they?
-
sagard, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be over on www.twincities.com posting with the rest of your 'fans' who are calling for the heads of Lucia and Hill?
-
OK, you had me scared for a minute. After the Gophers have gotten their a**es handed to them, Assuming the Gophers have been eliminated before the title game, you can probably get a ticket from Dave or Kenny real cheap, so just send me a text when you return!

Northeastern 2007-08: 16-18-3 Northeastern 2006-07: 13-18-5 Northeastern 2005-06: 3-24-7 Northeastern 2004-05: 15-18-5 Northeastern 2003-04: 11-16-7 Northeastern 2002-03: 10-21-3 Yea, gopherz, I'm sure you predicted the 23-9-4 record of the Huskies this year. I'm guessing that the 2005-06 season is when your UM athletic director would have been licking his chops thinking "hey...I'm thinking Mariucci Classic for this team!".
-
Historically speaking, they're patsies, gopherz. I'm assuming you know that, though, because that's why they were slated to play in the Mariucci "Classic". You don't exactly get invited to play into that tournament if you're a noteworthy opponent.
-
I was being kind in my post. When he said he wouldn't be at the Final Five or the Hoggsbreath brunch, my original response was going to be this: WTF? Oh, what the heck, now it IS what I was originally going to post.
-
The apocalypse is upon us! NorthDakotaHockey can't make a) a major tournament event and b) Hoggsbreath brunch! Wow...whatever you're doing that weekend, I hope you're being paid big bucks for it!
-
Hmnnnn...maybe daylight savings time is responsible for the PRI somehow having Minnesota in the NCAA tournament field of 16 despite a 7-9-2 record since January 1st with wins against Michigan Tech, Alaska-Anchorage, Brown, and Northeastern? UMD and a St Cloud sweep are quality wins, I'll spot you that, but still...

2.4 miles away from my place. I won't be going Bloomington to Little Canada back to Bloomington then back to St Paul this year, though. It's Bloomington to Little Canada to St Paul for the 3rd place Colorado College/St Cloud game.
