  1. Is someone available to give YaneA a ride from the hotel in Bloomington to Little Canada? Al's bus folks can never be convinced to make the brunch.
  2. What's the over/under on losing 90 games this season? I haven't followed the Central Division off-season moves that closely, other than Detroit's, and I'm happy to say that the Prince Fielder/Miguel Cabrera combination has been broken up. Fielder's been terrible in the post-season, both with Milwaukee and Detroit, and I think Dombrowski finally had enough. Ian Kinsler is a good athlete and improves Detroit's stolen base opportunities greatly. Watching Prince and Miguel out there was like watching the Bloomington Fireman's Softball Tournament at times. My early prediction: 1) Tigers - and it won't be close 2) Indians 3) Royals 4) White Sox 5) Twins
  3. Yea, there's plenty of Section 8 in St Paul too. Oh, you're talking hockey...I was talking something else.
  4. Because Jefferson never pilfers the best Kennedy kids as early as squirts and has them play for the Jaguars, do they? West Bush Lake Road Bloomington kids playing in the Eden Prairie program? Richfield kids playing for Edina? Duluth East? Roseau? Warroad? Say it ain't so, Joe, say it ain't so. Why stop at hockey? How about Hopkins boys basketball? How many of those kids on this year's team are actual residents of Hopkins, LOL?
  5. Ouch! Got the forehand AND backhand with the stupid stick. That sucks...
  6. Watch STA petition today to move back to A next season...
  7. Nah, keep it open. It'll just save time if and when UND's season comes to and end this year short of a national championship.
  8. Storm Kings! Best nickn...nevermind...we've been thru this already.
  9. Like this guy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biy9mrQoxTQ
  10. Green shirts (9): M L Wilbur (2), southpaw (2), neonpelican (1) XL XXL Wilbur (1), southpaw (1), neonpelican (2) XXXL White shirts (2): M Oxbow6 XL Oxbow6
  11. Yea, there are pluses and minuses to both. You have his stick from Milwaukee? I have connections here thru a mutual friend and could probably get that autographed for you. PM me if you'd like...
  12. As they were reviewing that play to see where the face-off should be, I said that if it's in the zone, i guarantee a UNH goal. You could just sense it.
  13. Michigan's 7th title was in 1964...8th in 1996, 9th in 1998. 96 and 98 aren't that stale.
  14. I really thought the Brock Nelson-miracle 6-3 winners over the Gophers at the FF team was going to be the cinderella story...until I saw the regional bracket come out a day later. Buzzkill.
  15. Hey, Irish, we agree too! I said during the '11 Michigan game that the TV time-outs seemed to frustrate UND...and it showed. The Sioux need to be prepared to deal with things that will happen during the game...perhaps stuff you don't have to deal with in the regular season. Lengthy time-outs, teams bottling up transition, changing from dumping the puck in on the PP to carrying it in when it's obvious the dump-and-chase isn't working...totally agree with you. Second point on the goalie...how about a tournament goalie just showing up ready to play? Giving up 6 to BC three times followed by a 6 spot to UNH in the 2009 regional. 2010-2013 has been better, but I still agree with your assessment.
  16. Hey, I totally get it, and I don't take personal offense to anything most folks write here, including you. I don't think I slept for a week after the Sioux regional loss to UNH a couple of years ago...and the Yale loss...and the three BC Frozen Four losses...
  17. I knew we had something in common...frustration. We need a 1997 cinderella story.
  18. I can't find the exact quote right now, but weren't you at some point during the BC debacle also among the group of posters calling for 110% every time you step on the ice representing UND, whether it's practice or a game, fs4l?
  19. Yale's beaten North Dakota twice in four years in the regionals...they must be doing something right. I miss players like Peter Armbrust and Brad DeFauw from the 1997 team - Matt Henderson, too. They weren't exactly 'blue-chip' recruits, but they were winners.
