That Mount St Mary's game last night is the reason why watching the conference tournaments is so much fun. They were blown out by Robert Morris twice this season but made a run to the tournament championship to play the Colonials, where they absolutely throttled them in front of their own crowd. I think RM was expecting a conference tournament coronation - instead, they got a whoopin'.

Loved going to men's and women's games there...good times.

To hell with the WCHA...anyone...amd I mean ANYONE but Minnesota this season. Please!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the team with the record of 24-6, should they make it 25-6, couldn't care less about a loss to UND earlier this season.

Miami in 3 North Dakota sweeps Nebraska-Omaha sweeps Western Michigan in 3 It'll be CCHA 2, WCHA 1, and hybrid (that'd be UNO) 1 at the Target Center next weekend.

Just watching that story now on ESPN...certainly a scary situation. I'm glad the NHL made the decision to postpone the game - the right call to make.

Similar story out of Mankato on Saturday...all the Mavericks had to do to earn a share of their first-ever MacNaughton Cup was defeat Michigan Tech. Alas, the best they could do was tie, 1-1, so Ferris State won the cup outright.

Every fan base has its idiots. I berated a fellow Sioux fan celebrating his 21st birthday as well as his mommy a few years ago at the final five - an absolute sloppy drunken mess - the both of them. It's a shame all the co-ops that have popped up and the schools that have closed over the decades. I think Region 8 consisted of four districts with 5-6 teams in it...those were the good old days...
