Nebraska had to come from behind to beat Purdue at the end. Riley has to be gone after this year. NU isn’t the dominant team like they used to be many years ago. They need to hire someone to get a fire going into this team, where they blowout teams by 40-50 points.

Nice win to get the split. I wonder if it takes this team til after Christmas to get hot like in past years. Getting splits is not what we need, we need the sweeps. Especially against a team like CC. Let’s go Hawks!!

How much of this season is Rudolph and how much is the tons of injuries? Would we be on top of the conference if we had an injury free team or would we still be in the hurt bag with Rudolph’s playcalling?

Memorial Stadium was used from 1929-2000 as a full functioning football stadium. It’s possible to use an arena plast 30 years with upgrades along the way. I would think the Sioux forever crowd would frown upon a new arena without Sioux logos everywhere.

I hope we can go a whole game without an injury, it’s a tall order but if we can get through this game with a win and no injuries it would be like winning the Super Bowl. We need starters to come back, we can’t go the season with third string players. Yes it gives them experience but we do need our starters back.

Roger Thomas- I don’t think an FBS move is in our future. Tom Bunning- c’mon who else misses him doing all those pushups after TD’s. In all seriousness whoever they pick I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be a dud and doesn’t undue the greatness this program is having.

I think from what the university has gone through from nickname changes, to conference moves, budget problems (thanks Bismarck), cutting sports, in the end I think Faison did the best job he could while dealt with an unfriendly hand. He got us into leagues that helps with travel, helped with funding for an IPF. I think this school is going to come out ahead in the long run.

Just my two cents. I grew up yelling Sioux at the end of the anthem. My dad, a Vietnam Vet, never told me to stop once. He told me to stand, remove my cap and put my hand over my heart. He takes pride in the anthem by saluting the flag, and not sitting until the colors are retired. Most fans of their team yells it’s team name at the end of the anthem is it disrespectful, I don’t think so. Just my opinion.

Burgum is raking in the money with the tax breaks at the expense of the Fargo homeowners, but if he thinks his downtown metropolis of high rise buildings are going to carry NDSU into FBS status (namely a huge dome, or stadium) he is up for a ride awakining. I think NDSU will lean on Carson Wentz than Doug Burgum for money.

And by 2050 there will still be no new dome so NDSU can be the Idaho of the FBS. I can imagine how much a new dome would cost in 2050 money?

No team from the MAC, or Sun Belt is going to be in the FBS “playoffs”, so that would mean unless NDSU joins the Big 10 or Big 12, there will be no chance at a National Title. I am sure by the time they move up there will be more Bowl games so the 5-7 and 4-8 teams can play in one. Unless there is another tier in the FBS it’s not worth moving up especially with our location.
