UCF just proves what’s the point of moving up to the FBS when there is ZERO chance at a National Title. At least in basketball the little guy has that chance, in football there is no chance. I hope UND doesn’t move up unless the g5 conferences get their own playoff and national title. Or have the FBS playoff include ALL conference winners.

I think a little of both, but I voted for UND to up their game. I do think injuries played a big part of our dismal season, but we need to have consistent playoff seasons. When we enter the MVFC in 2020 we need to be one of the top dogs fighting for that conference title, and if we take down NDSU in the process of that title its a win-win.

Totally agree on getting more beef on that line. Not only to open more holes but to pass block our new QB.

Playing the tough teams early and often may be better for the team. We have only played half the conference teams so history isn’t a good factor if we would have early success in the MVFC.

Amazing that its been a huge circle since the 1970's, except Bison fans always seem to delete certain parts of history like 1993-2003.

Not only that, its nice to see DI games at home thats not in our conference.

I miss the old WCHA too, rivalries are fun and brings more attention to the program. We really had a good one starting with Montana and Weber St (for basketball), but I think leaving the BSC for the MVFC/SL is best for the long run. We can always schedule BSC teams for OOC play.

So what what’s wrong with rivalries we have had for a hundred years. I am sure you would piss your pants if the hockey team was in the same conference as the Gophers and Badgers again. True, I have said they are similar powerful conferences. It’s not like the Big Sky is DII and the MVFC is the FBS, you have tough teams and you have bottom feeders. Every once in a while a couple teams make it towards the top then fall. You Bison fans (yes you too Johnboy) think UND will be a bottom feeder, have we ever been a bottom feeder in a conference in football? We ruled the NCC, we were at the top of the BSC in Bubba’s 3rd year? We can rule the MVFC. Just like I am sure UNI, SIU and YSU thought that way about NDSU after your not so stellar start to the MVFC for the first 3 seasons.
