According to Lakes NDSU will be FBS by next week.

It should be in the lobby of the Alerus for all to see!!

There are how many voters in ND? Hundreds of thousands...and they polled 500. Let's just say we won't know how people stand if they poll 1% of voters. Let's just wait until poll results 25 days from now. This will be more watched than the presidental election.

I am sure Prairie View is wetting themselves too.

I think keep it retired at least until UND and NDSU are in the same conference playing every year. The Nickel should be on a state rotation where a month its in Fargo, a month its in Bismarck, etc like NDSU did with the National Title Trophy. Its a historical symbol that has run its course especially with the nickname issue too. Get into the same conference, and get a new trophy.

How long has they been raising money for the BSA?

Remember they are looking for winnable games. They did beat Montana in 2003 and haven't beaten UND since 2000.

And NDSU has so much cash they can remodel the BSA...ooops no they don't.

Here's what I don't get. Don't schedule UND because we want 6 home games. It has to be 6 home games....ask UNI who their last home game they scheduled against will do to their season... (DII)!!!! One of these years that NDSU won't schedule UND they might end up with their 6th home game being Sioux Falls or Mayville.

I didn't think we were playoff eligible. At least we didn't bitch and moan about not being allowed in the playoffs during transition time like another FCS team did in say 2004-2007...

They would rather schedule a home and home with South Dakota than UND...makes sense the USD games are winnable.

Can we move the game to Michigan's stadium...100,000 people!! Plenty of tickets would be available then.

My whole family will be at the Fargodome (with me the only UND fan). It is going to be just like that Football America video which I may have to pop in the DVD player and watch. Welcome back UND-NDSU rivalry!!!

If UND wins the game then Lakes can use the excuse he used when UND beat NDSU in basketball...."nobody cared about the game...fans, coaches, players".

I don't think they would enforce any attendance rule if they created a second FBS division. They can call it the EMU rule. Because EMU can't average 10,000. Now Idaho is starting to get that way since they lost their big attendance maker Boise State.

He isn't required by law to refer to UND to anyname other than Fighting Sioux so why should it be a law. If UND changes their name to the Fighting (enter name here), he can cheer Sioux while the other can cheer for the new name. I know it will take a while to say Fighting (enter name here) but at least we can ALL cheer for NORTH DAKOTA!!!

I think at this point nobody should be NO undecided. Either you kill UND and vote no or save UND and vote yes. There is no inbetween, and the NCAA made that clear when they talked to Carlson face to face in Indy.

He will blame everything on the wording of the measure. He will ask for another measure with no meaning no and yes meaning yes.

So if the vote on June 12th comes back yes..will this finally be over or will Crazy Al start up a new law and try to talk the state into voting for it while keeping this issue alive.

After our close loss to Fresno State last year has me convinced this game is going to be a lot closer maybe a FG can win it for UND, but I still write them down as a loss.

The thing about those 3 names is the schools that were associated with those names still live on, and will always live on. Just like UND will live on without the Fighting Sioux just like they did from 1883-1930.
