Could the WAC survive without football? Or just a basketball (and other sport) conference. What is the money making sport for them?

What is the deal with New Mexico State? Never a rival against New Mexico? Isn't the state going to get involved if they move down to the FCS (or they don't care)? I can understand Idaho..crappy record year after year, tiny @ss dome (Fargodome is bigger), and no rival (unless its Idaho State because BSU has really moved on without them). You got two teams being left in the dust by other schools in their state, I agree with fightingsioux4life it would be like UND moving down while NDSU moves up. Idaho and NMSU deserves a stable conference (WAC is far from stable) and the BSC is the answer for them. They won't see a National Title ever...they may see a Bowl game once every decade or so. Come on down to the Big Sky NMSU and Idaho.

Sounds like UND is taking off pretty well in the near future..with this years recruits and now this tweet for the new class next year. This keeps up (and if these recruits standout) UND will be the team to beat in the Big Sky.

IMO less money for football equals less money for the athletic programs. If they start chopping funds to make ends meet....goodbye PSU hockey.

I agree. GFC left it up to the students to vote for a new name. Its been Knights since the fall of 1994 thanks to the class of 94,95, and 96.

Are you for real?? Holy crap. You win a National Title, and win a bunch of games in transition, and you think UND is riding your coat tails. You first rode the coat tails of SDSU because THEY got you in the conference you are in. Not the other way around. Then USD is riding SDSU's coat tails because they are in the same conference as both of you...so that leaves UND in a conference you guys tried to get into twice. We are riding the coat tails of no one. By the way Dan before these past couple seasons...what did NDSU do.....3-8? Lets see what UND can do after transition...do we ride NDSU's coat tails and go 6-5 and 3-8 in the first 2 seasons after transition or do we make the playoffs in the first two like SDSU did.

I think the BSC will allow UND to leave if they notify them if they are thinking of leaving instead of notifying them on a last minute type of thing.

I am sure they saw the highlights from our NAIA games and took that for what its worth. Plus our games against USD, and UNC and saw us come back from those (along with Sioux Falls). Why else would these coaches put us towards the bottom.

IMO the media poll is more accurate. I would've put UND in the middle of the pack...no way are we towards the bottom, but then again most BSC coaches know nothing about UND. Time to make some noise in this conference.
