It will be a hit on fans of all UND sports like me where football and hockey are 1 and 2. I also would like to see UND basketball and volleyball. I can hope this year the UND-NDSU basketball game (or games) will be on tv even though its in Fargo unlike in 2010.

I thought it was 13,500 (attendance at the UND-NDSU game in 2001) but on wikipedia they list the Alerus at 12,283. If UND has over 10,000 that place will be loud and thats what we want.

For those in Fargo with Cable One here is an email I got from them reguarding picking up Midco's UND games... So hopefully by the first game they get it signed, sealed, and broadcasted.

First welcome to the board clawman....UND IMO is not going to be at the top of the Big Sky at least not this year. If Braden Hanson turns out to be the QB we all have heard in practice and UND gains an air attack then I see UND going 7-3 (minus the DII game) overall and 6-2 in the BSC is possible. Playoffs could be calling our name at the end of the year. At least this year will give this team a full conference experience and consistancy in scheduling. Its hard to go from a FBS team one week to a DII team to a FCS team back to a DII team. Enough of that crap, now its 8 Conference games and 3 OOC games which could include a non DI team (which I hope this is the last of this) and a FBS team. UND needs to think about 7 DI wins and getting non DI teams on the schedule is not going to do it. So hopefully our recruiting for this period in time pays off. No nickname issue no distractions....just FOOTBALL!!!

Exactly, especially for Potato Bowl week. You have events every day leading up to the game and you know people will buy tickets that week. And with the parade at 10:30 and the game at 6pm thats a lot of tailgating inbetween. And like Sioux83 said win and they will come.

Last year we went to the BHSU game and had a great view of the UND Cheer team.

I am in section 215 for the Montana game although way up in the section.

Maybe they are practicing trick plays.

I just ordered 6 tickets 3 for the Potato Bowl and 3 for the Montana game for me, my son, and my dad. Its going to be fun!!!! Just looked at the availability on ticketmaster's seat map and tickets are going quick. The Montana game has lots of seats for the Endzone to 10 yard line sections...but not too much going down the field from there. The Potato Bowl is almost the same way. I wouldn't be suprised to see these games be close to a sellout.

Good thing Chapman isn't at NDSU anymore...he would not be a happy camper.

I am guessing next year when Idaho and NMSU is left with a 2 team conference and has a choice...Big Sky or Indy. If they choose Indy they might as well drop football altogether, if they choose Big Sky at least they can make some money and hope to re-establish themselves back into the FBS along with Montana, MSU, UND in say 10-20 years.

This is a nice design. The name of the field is exactly where it belongs...on the sidelines. The name in the middle with the Coyote is pretty sharp. Maybe in 2015 it will say North Dakota with UND's new logo on the 50.

I can see SD Mines not a sellout since its preseason but a win in the Potato Bowl and an upset win against SDSU and a win at Sac State...sets up UND for great crowds at home with Cal Poly, NAU, Montana, and SUU.

I can't wait!!! I need to get my tickets to the Potato Bowl and the Montana game. The only two games I can go to (work). I hope every game is a sellout (after I get my tickets of course).

I agree I would like to put UND at a win against SDSU but UND hasn't gotten over the FBS win hump yet (came close to FSU and NIU). Maybe we need to get our first win against a horrible FBS team...when are the Gophers available.

Seriously?? That is stupid. If its 4th and 2 or 3 sure but 4th and 10 you are giving your opponent a chance to have the ball at midfield. I hope he does try it against us..only to have UND score on short drives.
