Since 2001 UND was at # 1-3 in attendance in hockey...since 2001 until we left DII after the 2007 season the Alerus was in the top 10 in attendance...maybe top 5. Money is not an issue when it comes to hockey and football attendance...its opponents. UND playing DII/NAIA teams(when we are DI) in football is not going to pack the place. UND playing anyone in hockey will bring in over 11,000 (near capacity). Now UND playing a BSC schedule...FCS OOC games, and a chance at a playoff berth, will equal a near capacity crowd at the Alerus even if hockey is played that night.

I will buy this every year that Gene Taylor is at NDSU. I am sure he is still looking for his pen to sign that contract that Brain Faison sent a couple months ago.

I am sure some on BVille will be pissed, of course they will smack UND (since they have nothing better to do) in the process.

The thing about Flickertails was UND never had a jersey that said it it was almost like an unofficial name. UND still were known and had jerseys that said Nodaks.

What facts?? Muss weeded out the DII players and entered "his" players for the future. Are we still doing the NDSU kicked ass in transition and UND didn't do crap comparasion again. Its transition...Who Gives a ****!!! NDSU 1 GWFC title...UND 1 GWFC title. Both teams did equally well. Now NDSU 2 playoff appearances in 4 seasons. Now lets see how UND does in the next 4 seasons. Muss has 3 years to prove himself against the same competition as Bohl did when they left the GWFC. In your opinion what is an average contract?? Anything at or above Bohl's?

Remember NDSU fans don't care about the Bison name just NDSU so it wouldn't bother them at all.

How do you get that out of what I said?? All I said was lower salaries doesn't mean lower quality. You Bison fans think the all mighty (Bohl) deserves an NFL type salary because your program is greater than any FBS team out there...but what about their 3-8 team? or how about the 6-5 team before that. NDSU wasn't at the top of the world after transition until their 4th year out of the Great West. Muss is in year number ONE out of the Great West so lets see where this team is at before saying he is on the bubble. If UND has years in the BSC at the end of year 3 like they did in the GW then I think it would be time to look elsewhere. But since he turned a team from 3-8 to 5-3 (DI only) plus a conference title and beating a ranked team on the road it shows he has this team on the right path. If UND had a Preposterous Statement thread like on BVille...you would be on there.

Sell..I would love to see UND get an FBS win someday, but not getting my hopes up on this game.

Buy or Sell UND will win at both Montana AND Montana State(not necessarily in the same season) within the next 5 years.

I am going to go with buy but it will be in the second year. UND has 7 home games (that helps a lot) and I think NDSU has a tougher schedule in 2013 with Kansas State then a home game against Montana State, they are not St. Francis. (of course they do have a St. Francis like team in Western Carolina), but conference games at SDSU, at SIU, at ISU (blue) and at Youngstown...2013 could be an ugly year for NDSU if their defense falters because their offense hasn't been explosive.

I always forget our first game is not against PSU but SD Mines. I still consider that game an exhibition. Kinda like when UND plays Manitoba in hockey.

Our tour included the club room where the organ was (damn that thing was huge), the Ralph Engelstad Suite, the Olympic ice rink, then a tour of the Betty. When the tour was over there was a guy shooting free throws...All I kept thinking was you guys better practice hard on those you are now in the BSC. My dad wants to take the tour again and this time bring his camara (I took a few pics with my cell phone).

Now i wanna know what the intro is going to be. This excitement for UND football hasn't been this high since 2007...maybe 2001?

I was thinking the same thing. Look at Muss's coaching record so far (not impressive), why not give him a good salary (anything over 100k is good) and a few years instead of a a huge salary with the chance he would bolt the following year. The guy from the Argus said he himself would take the money with set years (what a tool). If SDSU were to win it all and an FBS school came calling the following year (which means even more money) the coach (IMO) would bolt then SDSU would most likely have to start over (new coach's recruits, gameplan, etc.). I would love to ask Vandrovec was it worth taking the more money instead of the more years and less money? I think if Muss proves himself as a good coach, with winning records in the BSC and maybe even a playoff birth or two then you will see his contract be extended with more $$$$.

That was the only down part of the tour. It was interesting to know you can rent the Ralph Engelstad suite for 3200 bucks a night (of course food is extra).

I was at the Sioux Shop yesterday and the lady at the counter said they got the deadline extended to order Sioux merchandise until December.
