I, along with my dad and my boys took the REA tour, and it was awesome. Has other people taken the tour? The tour guide mentioned we couldn't tour the locker room or the weight room because of an incident that happened? Did I miss something that happened at the REA? My dad thinks it was vandalized but I don't recall hearing about it. I was unsure where to post this so mods can move this as they see fit.

I miss that team. I wish GF had a minor league baseball team like Fargo does.

I wonder if we can be called the UND Fighting U. (during our cool off period). That way they can say here come your Fighting U!!!!!!! University of North Dakota Fighting U scoring! Fight on U (instead of Fight on Sioux). Just having UND and nothing else isn't going to work.

The last couple weeks I take my kids to swimming lessons at Fargo North High School, and I look at the gear the kids and parents wear and I saw a couple Bison but a lot of them wore Sioux (including me). I haven't worn my Sioux shirts to my son's t-ball games. I should since his coach is NDSU men's basketball coach Saul Phillips. Maybe I can ask Saul for some UND-NDSU tickets.

Its more than just members of an AQ conference...we are officially DI members in all sports!!

It will take awhile to be known at the best in the BSC but if UND can get a title under their belt which I think will be done this decade...they can then gain confidence of multiple titles which IMO will take longer than a decade. 19 for Montana..UND won't beat that since I don't think we will be in the FCS that long I think UND will be in the FBS in maybe 10-15 years from now or at least a FBS study will be underway in that timeframe.

No team gives up their top spot, its earned with hard work and UND will be up to the challenge or else why have a program. Montana had some offseason issues whether that hurts them is to be seen with this season coming up. If they look strong it will be tough to dethrone them, but if they fall into the middle of the pack then other teams will be licking their chops to replace them at the top. Getting to the top is the easy part...staying at the top is the hard part.

A lot of big name schools UND is going up against..Big 10, Big 12, Notre Dame. His 3.8GPA is impressive. I hope we can snag him.

So was it Roebuck that kept UND off of NDSU's schedule? The last "DII" coach is now gone and the only person remaining in the rivalry from that era is Gene Taylor. I remember men and women's UND-NDSU doubleheaders.There was one game I went to that I got a kick out of Amy Ruley not shaking hands with Gene Roebuck after UND won. I thought she was a poor sport of course it was during her National title era. Nice to see them play again!!

Money buys facilities that excels the program. Why do you think NDSU basketball is in the dumps...their arena sucks. So they are using "money" to build the new SHAC to excel that sport. UND is going to use their "money" to build a IPF and to excel the football program. The REA was built with over 100 million dollars to excel the program and just look at how many UND players made it to the next level (either NHL, minor league hockey or the Olympics). Montana would be exactly like NDSU was when we overtook them in 1993. NDSU didn't go to the cellar they stayed in the top 3 or so every year. Montana will just have to adjust to UND being a threat like MSU, Cal Poly, and an occassional EWU. But that is the future lets take it one season at a time. Once UND gets their first BSC title..more "higher rating" recruits will be signing with UND, especially if and when the IPF is built.

I look at Montana as the NDSU of the NCC...remember the 80's title after title...top dog every year, then what happened. Down went the ship and a new leader (UND) was born. Montana can't stay at the top forever, eventually they will be overrun.

So they played in baseball, volleyball, men's basketball, and now women's basketball. Well that's all of them...oh wait.

Could shops like a shirt shop in a mall sell Fighting Sioux shirts with just the name or is both the name and logo copyrighted.

Buy...Roger Thomas turned a dismal program in 1986 to NCC champs in 1993. I think Muss can do that with more talent than Roger had. The league is tougher than the old NCC but this team has overcome obsticles before to rise to the top. I think we will have at least a couple BSC titles by 2020.

Anyone know what the deadline to buy Sioux gear? I thought the license ran out and they couldn't order anymore. They could only sell what was available in stock.

Buy. I see UND only losing on the road to SDSU, MSU and maybe EWU. UND is tough at home, players will be jacked to play tougher (now with playoffs on the line), and the crowd will be a lot bigger. Home field advantage will be making a return to the Alerus.
