Jones has impressed me with this turnaround, question is can he get the team to the dance and do it pretty consistently like that other ND school 70 miles to the south? People were praising Muss when his team went 8-3 in 2011 but look what happened the next two years. We thought Jones' senior ridden team of a couple years ago was going to be "the" team to get us in the dance and it didn't happen, I hope this group of young kids can continue to play well and get us to the promise land and not to the CIT. Things are looking up for Jones and I'm glad, I'm not just not on the contract extension bandwagon until there are more positive results ( and this win is a big positive).

I give Jones and the entire team credit for the biggest win of the year. This team has shown a lot of promise and for being so young they have a bright future. Great game today and a nice run they are on, keep it up guys. Go Hawks!!

Agreed. Beating Weber especially at home would be a big confidence booster going into the home stretch of the regular season.

The WAC wanted the Montana schools and they said no. As for UND upgrading our programs to join the SL, are you serious? The SL is not the Big 10 or even the MAC it's the stepping stone for DI transfers. UND's women's team has already been to the dance since being eligible how about NDSU's women's basketball team? Our men's team has been to the conference tournament two out of the last 3 years so they aren't bottom feeders in fact they would be in the middle of your conference. So because SDSU is towards the top of the Slummit you have to spout out some trolling comments. Keep us informed on what team leaves and is replaced by a former NCC team from Minnesota or Sioux Falls.

This is a big thing Wentz has going for him. No trouble at NDSU and i doubt he would have trouble in that state in the NFL. Manzel was a bust after all the hype and if Dallas goes for him (rumors are flying he could), Wentz would be better off being elsewhere as you don't want someone like that teaching you the game. Given the right person (QB or coach) he could do good.

Skeptic as in the level of competition he has faced in the FCS, compared to someone from a p5 or even g5 school? If NDSU didn't win 5 NC in a row would he get the same look? I would think that type of publicity could make or break him.

Does anyone recall Bison fans drooling over a kid from Carrington who was drafted by Minnesota, or any other UND players that got drafted? It works both ways there are Bison fans who don't care about UND players from college on, and there are UND fans who don't care about Bison players from college on...unless he is on your fantasy team.

Sorry I don't follow every move of Bison players. I now see he is the 3rd string QB for Ottawa. I guess that counts for something and you Bison fans should be proud. For me I could care less about him, and if i want to ask a fellow UND fan on a UND board about someone that's my choice on this UND board.

I didn't see the game, did he look "average" because he was facing FBS competition? Or was it because he wasn't in the Fargodome? People thought Brock Jensen was the bomb too and look where he is...Omaha in a league that's not on anyone's radar. I would like to see how Wentz does in preseason if he is the next Joe Flacco (FCS reference) or if he is the next Brock Jensen (all hype and nothing to show for it).

BSC has always been stable with I believe 4 defections since the creation of the league. The SL has a poor track record on keeping teams and what is keeping the Dakota schools in that league if something better were to approach them.

WIU leaving the SL would be a huge blow since they are a founding member of the league. Yes UND is a viable option if they get the same deal as USD, but maybe the ice hasn't smoothed over between Douple and UND.

If UND can raise over 300+ million for the IPF and other things around campus, I think they can find a way to come up with money for FCOA.
