Fighting Hawks is UND's nickname either get on board or get out. That is going to be sentiment every year the name is here, and it's not going away. You people voted on the name, I didn't, I'm not an alum, student or season ticket holder. But I am a die hard UND fan and have accepted the name Fighting Hawks just like others have. When I go to the next game I will say "let's go Fighting Hawks" with my Hawks gear (which I will purchase in the near future). Oh I am far from an administration suckup, I am wearing my Sioux hockey jersey as I am typing this and will continue to wear Sioux gear but will never boo my team for something like a nickname. You can boo if you want over the name, you guys look like a fool doing it.

If Carson Wentz goes in the first round there is more gas thrown on the UND athletic program. NDSU will use that as a recruiting tool especially at the QB position.

I agree, distractions can be stopped after a game or two but continuing this drama will kill a season, and Faison needs to get more attention to our non men's hockey sports. Seems like he cares about that one sport and leaves the rest up to chance. Make big decisions, hire the right people and get the programs on the right track. Fans are tired of being second fiddle to NDSU, winning the FCS title is one thing but winning in the dance against big named schools is another, while we struggle to reach .500 is unacceptable. Hopefully Brewster will see his error and this team can make a run towards the BSC tournament and get to the dance.

To add insult to injury ESPN is going to have Gameday comeback to Fargo next season. More publicity to the state's most recognizable sports team (except hockey). I know that statement is going to sting and some will not think its true but when you talk sports except hockey what name pops up...NDSU. What will change that, simple, winning. Did NDSU cheat no, they won when it counted, in the playoffs. Should we be happy, hell no. More winning equals more attention equals more better recruits looking at their school over ours. And winning will change that. Bubba took the first step in getting this program out of the Muss hole and to a 7-4 record, Brewster had immediate success but is struggling, Jones came close to the dance but didn't make it. UND baseball got big props from the NCAA home run derby. Now on the flip side Bison football is king again, Bison men's basketball is king of the dance in terms of beating teams. UND needs more attention to their "non hockey" sports, we can win in more than just hockey. 2001 we won it all in football and almost won it all in hockey. 1997 we won it all in women's basketball and hockey. It can be done we can win in hockey and in football, basketball (not win it all but win in the dance), and maybe people will talk about UND sports and not about our nickname and NDSU sports.

I don't like NDSU but what they just did is every UND and FCS fans dream. A NC for 5 years straight that's what you wish your team to do, and NDSU has done it perfectly with different QB's different RB's and now 2 different coaches. I pray UND can get to the NC game and I think we are on the right track with Bubba. Congrats Bison and hopefully we meet in the playoffs next season.

2 things: 1. Eversports is crap, I wished the BSC didn't move to them. Football was bad enough now basketball. Hopefully they will get that crap straighten out quickly. 2. Bolomboy is a beast, I wouldn't doubt we will see him in the pros or at least at the next level, we would've had a good chance at an upset if he was contained. Good try, Weber is tough and we can hope they falter down the road.

Turmoil off the court is not good and affects the team greatly on the court. Better get that stuff cleaned up and smooth things over to get things back on track.
