They squeaked into the round of 16, when they had no right winning more than one match. They then lost to 11th ranked Belgium by one goal in extra time. Which would be more impressive... Mankato finishing 2nd in the WCHA in 2013-14 or finishing 2nd in the WCHA in 12-13?

Won't happen this year but Fenton is very aware of Faison's dislike of the exclusivity clause. Brian hasn't been shy about expressing how much it has hurt UND.

Estes Park isn't too far away, definitely worth a visit and if you have time to kill you can check out Rocky Mountain National Park which is right next to Estes. Boulder is also close and Pearl Street is a unique experience. Definitely a fun town to visit. Just park your car and you can walk up and down Pearl Street for a few hours. They also have a handful of microbreweries right off Pearl Street with pretty decent beer. If you're a margarita kind of guy, go to the Rio in Boulder. There is a limit of 3 margaritas per customer because they're so delicious and pretty strong.

Shocktop's Shandy is pretty good. Very similar to Summer Shandy but priced a little lower. I also enjoyed New Belgium's Snapshot and Bristol's Yellow Kite (both Colorado breweries). Snapshot should be available in MN/ND area as I've seen Happy Harry's carries a few NB stuff other than Fat Tire.

Gotta think having Berry on the staff will help sway an NHL team to lean towards UND.

I've worn a sioux jersey to every Avs game I've ever been to. Of course, they've always been playing against a team with a former Sioux player and we hang out next to the opponent's zone for warmups. We've get dozens of "Go Siouxs" and have had some great conversations with people at the games about college hockey in general. That green stands out so nice unless they're playing the Wild.

I'm actually a fan of having it in a dedicated area. Fans know where they need to be to watch the tournament. It makes traveling for any team not the #1 seed a lot easier. Also, to your point about SUU... generally the conference will pay for any and all travel associated with the league tournament. So SUU didn't really save any money by not making the trip unless the Big Sky does it differently.

NDSU fans would rather watch a road game on the computer than drive 70 miles to watch their team in person.

Home teams wanted to use their 3rd jerseys more so they changed it to home darks. Wish it was home whites, as it is nice to see other teams colors more.

Look at the ownership situation throughout the league. It's not just the southern teams.

UND took Gene's terms on the home and home. and then Gene changed his mind. Who is to say if UND took the 2 games in the Fargodome that Gene wouldn't then demand a third game in the dome before signing the contract? It's a moving target with Gene, why should anyone believe that's changed suddenly?

Faison cares about the fans and wants to give them the game that 98% of the people want to see?
