I think if it's not going to be played for, then it should be displayed. Since UND won the last game, then it should be displayed at the Alerus or on the UND campus. In the past, the school that won the game got to do whatever they wanted to with it. This is exactly the same, as the school that won it last should get to do what they want with it.

Just another reason why this season is extremely important. There's a chance to make the dance in our first year in the big sky. But we have seen teams make the dance with a stacked lineup one year and the not get anywhere close the past few years.

I don't know if anyone necessarily disagrees with you that it's going to be painful for schools. But we have already seen that tcu, Boise and etc don't get a shot at the national title. And who is to say they can't join a BCS conference? There is the potential for BCS conference schools to not stay in their conference.

I think most fans realize that on the offensive side, all we needed was a stud qb. Hopefully that plus the skill of the front 7 on D will lead to some unexpected victories. I know I'm excited to see the differences from last years game at UNC compared to this year.

He already stated its pointless to discuss the scholarship levels for this hypothetical situation, so it's by no means anywhere close to guaranteed the NCAA would do any changes to scholarship levels. But thanks for posting to make yourself seem like more of an idiot. Why can't the 60 or so schools schedule non conference games against each other with the one game against a lower level team? Most teams would have 1-2 games per year to schedule with fellow BCS schools so a two year home and home deal would be pretty easy. Or what about scheduling alliances? I'd say tier 3 is much more pointless than tier 2. That second tier would represent the lower FBS schools and the top FCS schools.

A much better example would be to compare similar situations. Since it is the state of North Dakota that is now making decisions that the NCAA disagrees with, let's find another state that has made decisions the NCAA disagrees with and has punished all schools in that state. I'm thankful Huff is coming back. It was clear there were some issues and after some of his tweets, it's great to seeing him stick with the program. Usually there is an unofficial overall schedule early in the summer. The official release for some other colleges is late August usually.

Over til you decided to post partial details for no reason. Sure, you didn't call someone out but you intentionally intrigued enough people that at least one person is going to search for it. When it comes out, you can tout you had nothing to do with it, all the while knowing it likely never would have come to light without your intentionally generic post.

It still doesn't give UND the written 30-year agreement from both the SL and SR tribes and that is what the agreement says the school needs to retain the nickname without sanctions.

Augh... the people voting against the nickname don't all feel it's hostile and abusive. Most posters here feel the name isn't, however if it comes down to keeping the nickname or handcuffing the althletic department, then the nickname needs to go. It's extremely unfortunate, but the nickname should never be more important than the athletes and programs it stands for.
