lee and chorney were the two d-men on the ice. both let their guys by them.

germany is stacking four guys along their blue line. usa has to play dump and chase to get it into the zone.
-
the supposed best goalie in the tourney gave up four goals on 11 shots to belarus. that's rough.
-
you can also watch it online. download a program called TVU Player from download.com install it and open it up. scroll down to the 40000 numbered channels and double click the World Jr Championship channel. It will open up in the video screen and you're basically watching tsn. you'll need at least dsl internet for this, because it's streaming video. doubtful if it works on mac computers.

if he plays like this throughout the tourney, the U.S. has a very good chance at gold.
-
mueller definitely wound up on that one... quite a blast. good goal usa.
-
a little press for UND at the end too... not bad for having an international audience.
-
jason blake puts in an early goal for the islanders tonight too.

i guess you're right.. i was thinking of the 02-03 team that lost to ferris state. either way, hak has shown he can have the boys ready to play come the 2nd half of the season. the team hasn't completely demolished their chances for the post season yet... and until that happens i'm going to give hak the benefit of the doubt.
-
i'd imagine he knows that... but saying iaa is a lot easier than saying division 1 schools that play d1aa (wait, no fcs) football i think that most people posting in this thread know that the 1aa title means all sports but football are fully d1.

despite the horrible season the 01-02 guys had, they still made the ncaa's. i'm still giving hakstol the credit that this team definitely could pull a 180 in the 2nd half of the season. the talent is definitely there. get on a roll and head in the post-season with some wins and some team chemistry under your belt. hak's had the boys doing it the past two years, i don't see why this year would be any different. and until the team puts itself out of contention for the ncaa's i'm going to give them some slack.

i'm kinda excited to read the board now. i figure with everyone breaking their arms and legs jumping off the bandwagon, they won't be able to type their ridiculous rants now.
-
john bernstrom. and he doesn't work at wdaz anymore.
-
has to sit out a full year. he can play starting next season. i think he'll be a gritty 3rd liner, much like fabian, with a little better scoring touch.
-
and boy oh boy, you sure do a lot of speaking.
-
you guys just aren't true fans. can't you see the ship is sinking and it's dragging the bandwagon down the drain with it? tech clearly has a better recruiting class this year, so the sioux have no chance to win the games. i don't know if will win another game in 06.

the difference between UND and those other schools you listed is that the role players that UND brings in are much better than the role players lower wcha teams have. UND is slated to have a lot of blue chip recruits over the next two years. that means there will be constant turnover, which is where the role players who were brought in over the past two years will excel.
-
a lot of the players that were picked up during the offseason are four year players. they are the type that will stick around and by seniors be amazing leaders and amazing hockey players. i'd take this year's class of solid freshman over a class with two first rounders. with the high draft picks, you've got one, maybe two years to get a championship out of their talent. with four year players, you have four years to get a championship out of their talent and leadership.
-
hakstol is coaching players who are, on average, younger than the players blais coached. you're seeing a lot of turnover in talent each year lately, it has almost become an exception when a player stays four years. with youth, you have inconsistency. it's being able to bring those players together over the course of a season that determines how well you do. it's december, the season isn't over yet. i do not consider last year or the year before a choke. all four teams at the ff could have won the nat'l championship. they had a blip on the radar, sure it ended the season, but that doesn't mean choke. it just means they weren't perfect. they didn't pull a gophers and lose to an underdog, they lost to a team that was very similar to UND. go ahead and blame hakstol. but to be more in line with the board, you should have called out finley, lee, radke, lammy, toews, oshie, grieco... and for good measure throw porter in there too for his huge lack of leadership.

this stuff is hilarious.

lee goren got called up to vancouver.
-
look at the bias by the canadians when they picked this years team. only three ncaa players? canada no doubt has a problem with players going to college.

just today, the senate passed a resolution that bans people from protesting at funerals for members of the armed forces. earlier this year, a proposal was passed that would only ban protesting at national cemeteries... however groups like the fred phelps one would get around that by protesting at the churches themselves. this new law, although, i'm not sure when it will officially go into effect will ban any and all protests at the funerals of members of the armed forces.

nice 22-4 run to start the second half.

well, if it came from sid's close personal friend bobby knight, then i guess he must be right!
