If McKenna is smart, he'd put his name in for the transfer portal to keep his options open for next year. He of course could always go back to Penn St, but his drafting team may want him to go to a different school and the only way he could do that is if he enters the portal as soon as it opens.

Zellers turns 20 tomorrow. In net, I'd think Kotai,Hrabel, and Hicks are the top 3.

Clearly addressing one of the most important issues affecting the country. Lawsuits and rulings from courts that give athletes compensation and the ability to choose where they attend school and play have helped to balance the field in terms of hindering the NCAAs monopolistic tendencies. There will be a lawsuit filed in a favorable district about 30 seconds after an EO is issued. I'd imagine there will be a stay until it gets fast-tracked to the supreme court who will initially decide on the shadow docket... and we've all seen how that goes. So, add college athletes to the growing list of groups who now have less choice.

All returning All Americans not eligible for the World Jrs are automatically invited so we'll see in a couple weeks who ends up on that list. I'd imagine both Plantes will be there. Depending on who sticks around, I could see UND having Zellers and Emery. If Liver comes back, he's guaranteed. Outside chances for Spunar, Josephson, and Kernan depending on who the coach is. Would love to see Jax get a chance to coach the team and bring a few more UND guys.

What could go wrong? You've got a coach with a sub-.500 record vs D1 schools on board for another 3 years before he gets another 3 year extension for not being the worst team in the league.

I assume it's 3 points for the semis and 4 points for the final? If so - then I still have a chance to tie for the win. Let's all pray that I don't...

Did you wear it in Tampa in 2016? If you were there and wore something else, you need to bring whatever you wore that year. If you weren't there, you're not allowed to go to Vegas. Those are the rules...

There was a German kid that was being highly recruited but re-signed with his club on a professional deal for next season

I'd be more interested to see if UND hockey loses NDSU fans. This is the first time that shithole school has its top sport in the second highest level (G5 is not P4). Do those down south with dual loyalties still come to the flagship to see a top team in the top conference at the top level?
-
Wait... so people complaining about lack of commitment from MBB players are celebrating UND's lack of commitment to WBB players?
-
I'm just happy to be here while you all repeat the same conversations from each of the previous Springs

These adults have all fulfilled their one-year commitment to the team, yes? Then they're free to search for opportunities elsewhere based on private discussions between them and their boss. Some choose to take on another one-year commitment with the university. Others choose to pursue that one year commitment at another university where they have the opportunity to earn more money - sometimes even life-changing money.

Fair - was just using the most current situation. However, giving moderators power to edit individual posts at their whim is not something I agree with. I felt comfortable bringing "politics" into it because it's one of those few situations where nearly everyone (those abusing the system excluded) agrees.

and that's just kids. Meanwhile, you have politicians betting and trading on insider knowledge.

Personally, I'm looking forward to AI hockey players. At least they would stick around for four years.

If I were a betting man, I'd put all of my money on Larson.

Why? Because they're posting opinions you don't like? Does it hurt your feelings to hear that Grand Forks isn't a preferred destination for players and coaches despite having a nice campus? Or that playing for a team that struggles to be .500 vs D1 teams doesn't seem so appealing. Or that not having a dedicated practice facility turns people away when similar schools have one?
-
I don't get the desire to attack this poster. Do they have a grudge because of a bad experience for either them or their daughter? Yeah, probably. But, are they saying anything that we as fans don't want? UND should be having a coach that positively influences the players both on and off the court, UND should invest money in their top women's sport, UND should charter to away games that aren't reachable by bus in fewer than 5 hours. UND should have dedicated practice courts to allow players to improve individually. UND should be at least a .500 team against D1 opponents, but all of the above play into the reason they're not.
-
Why? They finished above ndsu in KenPom and with at least 7 schools declined an invite, they're definitely in the top 32 of what's left.
-
I'm not saying this is the case, but he could go to another ncaa school and still come here in 27, 28, or 29.

Probably a good time to be an avid bike rider as average gas prices in GF have jumped nearly 20% over the past week.

16 teams play tomorrow, so there are a lot more than 5 with games, including Eichel in LA. So, it's also not a travel thing. I mentioned the Minnesota players because of the local ties.

Brock Faber is the only one raised in Minnesota who is in DC. Brock Nelson is back in CO.
