  1. Wow, that was brilliant work by Schlossman. And I love Hammy's response...talking about how he's "heard" from other people about other issues, not the ones that the Herald has reported on. What a piece of work that guy is. He's always been good as a source of amusement.

    Hobey Baker

Merged the two threads since they were essentially the same.
  3. Someone posted earlier that he said on Twitter that he was off the IR, but he hasn't played since then either. That was a week or two ago...

Hopefully the majority of them make it to campus, as that will be a fun group to watch.
  5. No doubt. I don't know what Hak did to have our 1997 title taken away, but that is for sure a fire-able offense.
  6. Imagine if we had Roman instead of Brad. <shudder>
  7. He didn't need to write another article. He knew that all the Sioux Sleuths here on ss.com would uncover the truth and report it to the masses!!
  8. But the real question is...will they have as much hockey hair as SCSU?
  9. Umm, maybe because he already wrote an article on it way back when it happened before the season. If you recall, all those players had to sit a game (Kristo sat two) during the season opener. Shows how slowly the judicial system works that the hearing isn't until March...
  10. Thank you! I always appreciate lessons on things I already know. Next up...a lesson on the Gordie Howe Hat Trick and the theory behind the Dump and Chase offensive strategy.
  11. When was his last ring? According to some, if you don't win a national title every three years, the coach should be fired.
  12. You'll have to ask the haters that question.
  13. Huge series for UND. They are currently tied for 4th in the WCHA with UW and MSUM (Mavs have played two more games than both UW and UND though). UW started slowly in the WCHA but has been much better as of late. Hopefully the team that played Sat night vs SCSU shows up for both games against UW. If they can do that, I like our chances for 3-4 points against UW.
  14. -I can't believe that Maine swept BC. You know that BC will be ready to roll by the playoffs though. -WMU sweeps Mich. I want Michigan's streak to be over, so I like to follow their losses. Former Sioux Mike Cichy had three assists in the win for WMU. -UMN rebounds for a split with MSUM. -UNO sweeps BSU with a 2-1 win. Archibald and Zombo with the two goals for UNO. -Next weeks opponent, UW, sweeps UAA at home. In the national scoring race, Walters had one assist, Leblanc had one assist, and Knight had one goal/one assist.
  15. A much needed sweep of SCSU.
  16. That pile up in front of the SCSU net in the 3rd period was ridiculous. UND had about 5 chances to put it away and it just kept bouncing off bodies and skates and sticks. Cmon. Same thing with right at the end of OT.
  17. It will be fun to see how the new lines look after a week of practice together.
  18. If they play like they did tonight, they win most games. Most of the shuffled lines looked very good, the line of Kristo/Knight/Grimaldi was always creating offense, and the PP even looked quite good at times. A few defensive miscues leaving SCSU players wide open in front of the net again, but for the most part it was a complete turnaround from Friday night. SCSU is a legit team this year...very good at blocking shots and shutting down the passing lanes. Hanowski, Leblanc, and Jensen are very, very good. And Faragher played excellent again. IF the Sioux can keep that level of intensity against UW next week, I like our chances. Time to right the ship. I think we are out of the running for the Mac (especially being that other teams have much easier remaining schedules), but that's not the end of the world. This team can play with anyone, they just have to keep the effort consistent.
  19. Watch out for the paper cuts.
  20. Yes, I was being sarcastic in my Blais post. I, for one, am quite sick of seeing all the "Bring Back Dean" posts.
  21. There is no way a Blais-coached team would lose in those situations. No way at all, he always gets his players up for big games.
  22. Must be our new coach! All hail the arrival of Hal...the coach that will bring us some titles for sure!!!
  23. Yes, I know it was a horrible loss tonight to SCSU. To help ease that just a tiny bit... BC lost to a Maine team with 2 Hockey East league wins all season. Michigan lost...yet again. Notre Dame continues to tank after the New Year, losing too. Minnesota lost on a goal with less than a minute to play.
