I don't understand how UW sucks so badly. They have so much talent...it's very young talent, but so elite. Similar to BU from the past couple seasons with their elite talent...but BU was still competitive.

Almost exactly the same. That year, we didn't lose to DU all year. And then we get placed in their regional and lose 1-0 in the regional final. This year, we haven't lost to DU...the last thing I want is to get placed in Loveland and hope that we could beat them yet again.

They could put UND there if DU ends up a lower #2 seed. That wouldn't be ideal.

UND stays at #1 in the PWR, DU now at #5 and the RPI very close between UMD, DU, and BC. If DU isn't a #1 seed, I'd rather avoid the CO regional and a potential matchup against DU in their home state to make it to the F4. Which means we have to hope that either DU gets back as a #1 seed or that they stay in the upper #2 seeds (as long as UND stays at #1 overall)...as I don't think the NCAA committee would put the overall #1 there. If DU slips to #7/8 and/or UND slips to #2, I could see them both in the CO regional. I don't want that.

Right? He made that one mistake on the PP clearing attempt that kept it in the zone for DU's lone goal, but other than that he was very solid. Great to see.

Goes without saying this is a huge series, both in the NCHC race and to try and retain the #1 PWR. Would be nice to put as many points between us and UMD in the standings this weekend with them having a bye week.

With tonight's results, UMD passed both DU and BC in the PWR to grab the last #1 seed. A Cornell loss or two could really make it feasible for three NCHC #1 seeds.

If the season ended today, only 3 NCHC teams would make the tourney unless one of those three doesn't win the Frozen Faceoff. WMU is the next closest, but they're down in #21 currently.

As does my dad.

Part of me hopes that Cornell slips a little and allows both DU and UMD to slot into #1 seeds along with UND. Then all three top NCHC teams get sent to different regionals.

BU beats BC in 2OT and moves on to face Northeastern.

Those Big10 standings are a mess. They're all so close. Will be anyone's game during the conference tourney for the auto-bid.
