To expect a goalie of the caliber you mentioned out of AG is unrealistic, especially at his age. Those guys were all unbelievable goalies (except maybe Bachman...he hasn't played long enough). Anthony will only get better by playing on a crappy team.

Judging by how many NA's live in (and destroy) my apartment complex, I can bet they don't care about any free college degree. What a joke...the only Sioux Pride out there is that within the University, not outside of it.

Think the board is doing this to try and scare the tribes? Maybe they are trying to hold out until we offer up (more?) money to keep the name. Maybe they'll come to terms. Also, if we did change/drop it soon, do we still have the remainder of the three years to possibly change it back?

What the stats don't show with Toews that the writers surprisingly realize is all the PP and PK time he gets besides just 5-5. He takes faceoffs and plays a much larger role in the defense. Sure, Kane has the gaudy assist numbers, but really, that doesn't mean much always.

Our talent is better yes, that is no question. That doesn't mean our team is better right now.

I said right now. I'm not saying we couldn't, but I don't think we could right now. They scored 11 goals one game. That's insane.

I'm not saying Miami is going to be the in the Frozen Four or be the National Champion even....but, Miami hasn't done anything to doubt the fact they are one of the best teams in the country. They haven't given up more than 2 goals in a game. They are 9-1, and their only loss was by 1 goal. No, they don't have the hardest schedule, but good teams beat the teams they are supposed to beat. That's all they've done, that's all they can do. The one team they lost to a top 10 team in the country. Also, they beat Canisius by a combined score of 15-1. Canisius is an easy team, but they made them look horrible. Right now, I doubt UND would beat Canisius by the same margin over the course of a weekend. How can you say they aren't the real deal at the moment? They haven't done one thing to disprove it.

The last 8 years has absolutely nothing to do with this year. Just like us beating Michigan for the past couple years has nothing to do with THIS year. Miami is a very good team. They win the ones they are supposed to, and win most of them by a decent margin....again, without Nathan Davis for the first how many games.

I think Miami IS the real deal. Michigan is better than I anticipated. With Miami though, they were beating teams pretty handily early on WITHOUT Nathan Davis.

The thing with Green Bay is it's totally different than any other city in the US that has a major football team. Other troubled players (not so different than Randy) have come to Green Bay only to have successful seasons with little trouble or problems. People don't realize that Green Bay is tiny. It's not much bigger than Fargo (if it is). It's approximately 90,000 people with the biggest metro area being 2 hours away. There isn't much to get in trouble with, and the fans do an awesome job at embracing most players like that. I can't say for sure that Randy would have been loved because of his past with Minnesota, but I would be most certain that he would have had an awesome season...as good as he has now...if he came to Green Bay, with little trouble like right now. How could you stop Favre airing it out to Randy every time. Favre to Randy Moss would be the best QB of all-time throwing to the most talented WR of all-time (notice how I didn't say best for him).

If his teammates call him that, I'm sure it's not a big deal.

He was right in front of me when it happened, but the puck was elsewhere so my eyes were as well, I noticed right from the get-go he was hurt and the only player I saw in the vicinity was another Sioux player, so it may have been a collision with a teammate.

If you take Moss off the Pats and put him on the Packers, would anyone disagree that their records would switch? Moss has more to do with Brady than Brady has to do with Moss. Pats would at worst be a 3 loss team without Brady. The Packers without Favre would be no more than a 3 win team.

Unless it was a different person, I wasn't hacking on him. I was pointing out the fact he hasn't been as solid as in the past. I'm not going to repeat what I said, but he just hasn't. And you're right, he isn't the basis of the Sioux's problem(s).

I'm just saying, it's a valid thought. Maybe they aren't as good as first expected. Whether they have the ability to or not, doesn't mean they will be. I'm not saying that's what I think personally, I'm just saying that it could be a possibilty. They aren't guaranteed to be good at any point in the season. They have to prove to themselves they are. Until then, they are only mediocre no matter how you look at it. It doesn't matter what they did in previous seasons. It doesn't matter what the preseason polls say. It doesn't matter how much talent they have and how good they are SUPPOSED to be....they still have to win games.
