Imagine if Forney never got hurt and he lived up to expectations. There wouldn't even be a question as to who is the best team in the nation. Not that there is much of one now, but we'd possibly have a team to rival '87.

I NEVER said he was supposed to make as many plays. I stated that Trupp and Malone outplayed him for most of the game and that he didn't click well with Osh and Duncs I didn't think. Just my opinion. The third period Frattin was skating much better and started showing his skills more I thought.

If, IF Lammy isn't up to snuff this year, at least we have the #1 defense in the country making sure he is seeing as few of shots as possible. I'm not concerned yet, but I'm not going to ignore his mishaps last night either. He's still better than most in the NCAA in my opinion.

I'm not the only one that thought the way I did...I think Frattin played well in the third period. I was watching him pretty intensely to see what he brought and it didn't seem like he made as many plays as the other two guys.

Whatever he's willing to pay, I'm willing to pay more.

Watching the game again on DVR....man, this is going to be a FUN FUN season this year. I think our juniors are going to step up more than imagined. Toews will be missed no doubt, but it isn't going to be as bad as I thought offensively. The freshman forwards looked real good. Freshman forwards in my opinion after last night: 1) Trupp 2) Malone 3) Frattin Frattin seemed a little out of sorts. Wasn't a hard worker in the corners and didn't seem to click well with Osh and Duncs. It's only one game so we'll see. I think Frattin has the most talent in that pool of frosh tho.

I thought Duncs and Osh were supposed to make the OTHER guy look good...oh well. I liked our depth at scoring last night. I know it was only Manitoba, but everyone looked like they could score.

I thought that Frattin struggled on the Duncan Oshie line comparitively to others...granted, it was the first game, and essentially the second practice.

First practice was yesterday. They might have said 11,007 was attendance, but it was probably ticket sales. It felt good to be at the arena today.

I know it's the first game and all, but it's hard to contend with NFL Sunday. I'm sure the coming games will be more eventful in terms of tailgating. The reason I didn't go was b/c I didn't know how to get there b/c I was drinking, wanted to wait in line at the Ralph and didn't know how I'd get over to the Ralph from tailgating...

A little bit of me makes me wonder where his head was at, but all-in-all, I'm not too worried.

I thought Lapoint played VERY well. He didn't get too aggressive on D, just did what he was supposed, and also he made some very good passes. Size-wise Lapoint is better as well. It will be hard to convince a lot of homers on here about that.

I looked at my book too and I thought they were 12. It's deceptive. I layed a ruler down and 12" was plenty big on my jersey.

Manitoba is actually 4-3 (not 2-3) as of today, they beat U of Regina each of the last two days. Game one was 4-2, game two was 3-0. Let's go boys
