  1. Men's bracket Wednesday (8) UMKC vs (9) Oral Roberts, 7 p.m. Thursday (1) Omaha vs UMKC/ORU, 6 p.m. (2) St. Thomas vs (7) Denver, 8:30 p.m. Friday (4) NDSU vs (5) USD, 6 p.m. (3) SDSU vs (6) UND, 8:30 p.m. Saturday Semifinal (1/8 vs 4/5), 7 p.m. Semifinal (2/7 vs 3/6), 9:30 p.m. Sunday Championship, 8 p.m. This worked out pretty well for the Summit League. You will have one Dakota school reaching the finals. I hope that Omaha and St. Thomas have fans that travel.
  2. Hmm, know what the rules are before making a decision. Finally something that makes sense.
  3. To be clear, my vote is to Pass and not add schools. What does adding SUU and Utah Tech solve for the Summit League. They should be in the Big Sky with with N. Arizona and Weber St. They do nothing for the Summit League.
  4. The dumbest thing possible is adding SUU and Utah Tech.
  5. There is no need to add schools at this point in time. If a school leaves then try to add schools (Augie is the perfect emergency school). But, you just added two mouths to feed and they literally add nothing. All they are a net negative for the conference. There is no finacial gain with those two schools. At least Augie would add to the bottom line of the conference. They would help sell tickets for the conference championships and at regional games for several schools. Why did the conference let W. Ill go if they are you simply going to add the Utah schools. The last 6 moves by the conference: Omaha, Denver, ORU, KC, UND, St. Thomas - plus they drop WIU. All good moves. Then you add these two schools? What, Chicago St isn't available? There is no need to act. The Utah schools are a much better fit in the Big Sky. I noticed that they weren't dumb enough to take SUU back. I guess we can looki forward the SUU starting fights in the bathrooms again at conference tournament.
  6. Best option is to pass..
  7. Are you kidding? SUU and Utah Tech don't add anything to the conference.
  8. When you say fund this, I take it as you need the scholarship dollars because there is limited revenue to actually share for smaller programs.

    2026 Recruiting

Nice job Mr. Miller, please keep expanding your coverage. I am all for hitting SF and South Dakota hard on the recruiting trail.
  10. And it puts UND, DU, StT, Omaha, W. Mich, and Miami .... Bowling Green, Ivy's, Holy Cross etc all in a bind. And UMD, SCSU, CC, Min St, Augie and others are in a better position to complete. If I'm Augie - opt in make a splash.
  11. Tough games..
  12. 11 looks lost and he didn't even get back on defense .. and why is he crashing the O boards... giving up a 4 on 3. Good Grief.
  13. I believe both Montana schools are opting IN.
  14. Well, 59 - 44 SDSU at the half - they made a little run. SDSU can run any set they want not much resistance.
  15. 48 - 40 with 4 min in 1st half. UND hanging around. But, it feels like SDSU is going to takeoff.
  16. Maybe it's because Oral Roberts is so down and people aren't used to St. Thomas leading the way for the conference.
  17. Yes, I was hoping UND was back in on the OL from GF, but confirmed his commitment to SDSU. So, he didn't follow DF to WSU.
  18. In addition, they lost a large number recruits: Approximately 10 recruits have decommitted with 5/6 others as unknown at this point.

Again, not defending him or dissing the current coach. Only saying the changes in college sports over the last 4 years would be hard to predict and how the schools would react to those changes would be even more difficult. Notre Dame doesn't have a history of accepting change quickly so I would disagree with you. You are working on 20/20 hindsight so yea you are right.

Everything changed in 2021, I saw a infographic that the UND QB made a $6M playoff bonus and two other players had similar numbers. Not sure if they are true. But, NLI money like that changed everything. And the change to the transfer portal rule in 2021 opened the flood gates. I am not sure what happened in 2010 you think is big. But, 2021 was the year everything changed. 1) When did NIL start? Effective July 1, 2021, the NCAA approved name, image, and likeness policy allows student-athletes to monetize their NIL. 2) The portal launched on October 15, 2018.[4] New regulations adopted in 2021 allow student-athletes in D-I football, men's and women's basketball, men's ice hockey, and baseball to change schools using the portal once without sitting out a year after the transfer, creating uniform transfer rules for all NCAA sports across all divisions.[5][6]

You might be a bit harsh on Kelly he left ND in 2021. There is no comparison to what you can do at ND today compared to 2021. This is not meant to take anything away from the current coach.
  22. SDSU has credit card money (Sanford) without it they are still in DII
  23. Interesting page - it would be interesting to understand the algorithm.
  24. UND's defense is BAD!! This group does not play good team defense. They look lost to me.
  25. Can somebody guard the guy with the ball? This is hard to watch.
