This is net -$5B over the last 3 yrs. Another example: External companies expanding into MN over the last 3 yrs: $4.0B value Internal companies expanding outside of MN over the last 3 yrs: $10.6B value This is a net -$6.6B value investment over the last 3 yrs. One of Minnesota's claim to fame has been, "Most Fortune 500 Companies per capita in the US". This is no longer true. As the professor from the UofM said, "We used to be the center of the universe for main frames computers, then medical devices and now, WE ARE NOT the center of the universe for anything".

I would take a close look at the math behind the rating system to really understand it. One strong indicator of how things are going is out-migration patterns, though even those can mask the full picture. For example, my neighbors—a lawyer and a developer, as liberal as they come but a very nice family—finally left last year due to safety concerns in their schools and neighborhood. Because they could both work remotely, they took their jobs with them. My own company has gone fully remote as well; we sold our building, which means no more local property taxes. About half of the developers I know have also left the area, all continuing their work remotely. It’s hard to measure the full impact, but the outflow of people is very real in the metro area where I live, and it’s a real shame.

It discusses the lack of MSP police, continued decreased funding, right now the County has taken a greater role in policing in the City. IMO, I see political opportunism as being a much larger issue.

I live in the metro area. It will be intersting to see this tonight and how people react. FYI - the people in Fargo, Sioux Falls and Grand Forks should be watching very carefully. There is a reason many kids are leaving the metro to go to school in these communities.

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
FSSD replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
The note that caught my eye was about SCSU: St. Cloud State .... overall, SCSU’s class sits near the bottom of the NCHC. And it’ll be interesting to see what their upcoming classes hold. As the university itself continues to struggle, some wonder what the future looks like in St. Cloud. -
I love the direction of the NCHC, new first class buildings at: CC, WMU, ASU and St. Thomas. Plus, nice facilities at Miami, DU, UNO, UMD and UND. Now, if we could just dump SCSU.

Hello: I am a UND grad from South Dakota. My nephew plays for SDSU. So, I would like to take his family to see a UND hockey game during the SDSU football game weekend. I am interested in the US U18 games tickets Friday night. I will need a total of 6 tickets. I understand that we may need to split up into 4-2 or 2-2-2 groupings. Please reply if you have tickets available. NOTE: I will update this message as tickets are purchased. Thanks

Thanks for the nice words. I hope they schedule more of these games in the near future. I look forward to making the trip out to Montana in the future. I have heard great things about visiting Missoula.

Completely agree, gates get shutdown due to fights, protest shutting down traffic, and make sure you leave before 7:00 PM/8:00 PM.

I don't understand the play calling on the offense and the defense. They went into a shell on both sides of the ball. Oh, well moving on I guess.. Offense: Positives: We have a QB that can make all the throws. He looks good. Neg: O-line got handled and they had no push up the middle. Don't now about the receivers, still a number of drops and limited separation. Fr TE looked good. Defense: Hard to read the defense - still a work in progress. No sacks, missed 4 or 5 opportunities to make plays. Only a couple of miscommunications that I could see - resulting in TDs. Overall, I didn't see a ton of mental errors: procedure, offside, motion, illegal formation type of stuff. So, that we good. The last two minutes of the games is on the coaches.
