The so called experts have been talking for the last 30 years that Bismarck would surpass Fargo. The spread today is wider then it was back in 1980. I doubt that even the oil boom can get Bismarck bigger then Fargo, or Minot larger then Grand Forks. The cities in the east just have too much going for them, plus a much higher population density in a 75 mile radius. Go 75 miles away from Bismarck or Minot and there is nothing, and I mean nothing.

Anyone who doesn't spout his ideology gets that status and he seems to have raised delusional to an extreme level. I have to ask, do you REALLY believe all the conspiracy junk that you toss out here? No one can be that delusional to actually think the whole world is against us, or maybe against you. Get real. This whole fiasco has been too political from day one, and you keep chucking up new, unsubstantiated accusations.

I doubt you will get a reply from star. He lives in his own little delusional world and thinks that if you ignore what you don't like it can't hurt you or it will just go away. Ignoring the name issue for years is what got this university in the position it is.

It's only going to be a disaster if we let ourselves get kicked out of the BSC.

You keep trotting out these "Facts" without proof, but what we should be looking at is "Reality". If something isn't done and done IMMEDIATELY, we won't be in the BSC. REALITY trumps alleged Facts.

Care to supply proof to all those "facts"? You just keep throwing out stuff with no proof and hope something hits the target. I suggest you go with the flow because the train isn't going to stop, especially at this late point in time.

I would think the University itself would also have standing to challenge the law. Letting the law go into effect in August and waiting for the special session in mid November is too late. The BSC will hang us out to dry long before then. I honestly am worried about the BSC deciding to give us the heave ho, and we won't have this chance again if they do.

Just because it's there doesn't mean this administration in DC will let it be developed. They seem to be "anti" everything regarding energy technology.

I suspect the problem was it was our turn to go to Vermillion and we needed a home game.

I really thought going to the BSC would put a stop to schedules like this. Playing lower schools doesn't bother me as much as losing to lower schools and we've done it. IMO nothing is gained by us playing down.

Last I heard, Moorhead was running a rather stiff deficit and was cutting programs to the bone. I rather doubt they can come up with the $15 million they are rumored to be needing to start a hockey program. The earlier reports I saw indicated this whole MSUM hockey thing was being pushed by the owners of the UP to try and make money for their arena. I see failure written all over it. Kinda like Bison athletics.

I would say that in a few years two things will be evident. First, things didn't turn out as good for the BTHC as the participants envisioned, and two, things didn't turn out as bad for the WCHA as some people envisioned. Good programs thrive on their own merits.
