It's obvious from what I've seen that it's not the name issue that has him worked up, it's a personal thing with Al Carlson. Maybe WYOBISON would like to join us in our support of the new hockey conference since he's so concerned about what happens here?

Agree,whether we get a new mascot or not depends on the name. Something like Nokota's would be easy to do, something like Fighting Spirit or Scoundrels is pretty tough, unless one of you characters wants to model for the Scoundrel theme.

And that is going to be the problem with Cavalry. Roughriders won't work either because people will get us confused with Red River.

The problem is, NDSU will think it's "ewe" instead of "U".

I don't know if there is any date cast in stone, but I would think 1 to 2 years would be a good time frame. Nokotas or Fighting Spirit are my two top ones yet, although North Stars and Nordics would rank right up there.

As a Libertarian, I have to agree with you. It is clear that Obama and Democratic Party will completely ruin this country. I too sincerely wish that John McCain had won instead of Obama. This country can't take much more of the Obama/Pelosi drivel that has degenerated our society.

I'm of the opinion that the NCAA is going to say we need to stick to the agreement that was signed by all parties involved. It's just time to get on with the inevitable and move on. Hopefully the NCAA understands that our hands are tied until the special session in November.

The so called experts have been talking for the last 30 years that Bismarck would surpass Fargo. The spread today is wider then it was back in 1980. I doubt that even the oil boom can get Bismarck bigger then Fargo, or Minot larger then Grand Forks. The cities in the east just have too much going for them, plus a much higher population density in a 75 mile radius. Go 75 miles away from Bismarck or Minot and there is nothing, and I mean nothing.

You keep trotting out these "Facts" without proof, but what we should be looking at is "Reality". If something isn't done and done IMMEDIATELY, we won't be in the BSC. REALITY trumps alleged Facts.
