I am not going to do the research so I don't know the specifics other than a company has to use a logo periodically (whatever time period that is I don't know) otherwise someone else could step up and use it and say "Hey they weren't using it anymore". I doubt we will see it very often - although I would bet The Ralph will make sure they use it as often as is allowed. I would think that Stanford, Miami of Ohio and other schools that have gone through the change have to do the same thing.

As long as ego doesn't get in the way I just wonder about some guys "needing" to start and some guys doing just fine coming off the bench and making impact. I see that in Avants and Seales for example (there are others) both give solid performances coming off the bench - if we know that Shanks is going to get two fouls in the first 10 minutes (whether he actually makes the fouls or poor officiating makes them up) then having guys that are willing and very talented coming off the bench is a great asset.

I think you will see more UND fans start to make the trip west as the rivalry matures.

Seems like Shanks gets at least one or two phantom fouls every game - he is a work in progress but he does get hosed by refs.

It has been mentioned but worth repeating that along with all the young talent playing this year there is lots of talent sitting in a street clothes at the end of the bench also. Okay we get it - once again one has to wonder why you are here - if you want to hear UND fans fawn over how great the FU recruiting class is it's not gonna happen. I have to belleve that if UND was on a similar run to FU that Bison-swille is the last place I would spend my time because I have no need to hear what FU fans think. As maligned as they have been this year when they were down 1 with 1 second left against Montana they run a picture perfect play to win the game - the men have been in several similar situations this year with different results - I don't blame the players I blame the play callers. .

I was in Grand Forks and one store had SU shirts on clearance 25% off - seemed to be because they were slow sellers. SU shirts stand out in Grand Forks because they are rare - like someone wearing a Minnesota shirt.

Just ignore the name we had to have one but it doesn't have to define us - there are many schools that don't use their nickname as their primary name - they use their school's name. "UND UND UND"....North Dakota North Dakota North Dakota - maybe UND will take the hint.
