Watched on the Internet but I'm assuming that was the student section cheering Sioux Forever during the games over the past weekend?

So let me get this straight when we lose it's because of Jones, when we win it's despite Jones - got it. (For the record I'm fine with going in a different direction when the contract is up - just want it to be orderly and well-planned so we don't lose any players).
-
I'm not remembering many UND posters questioning the integrity of a recruit changing their minds - and it usually gets shot down very quickly. Bottom line is you want kids who want to be here and I am certain that is even more true at Army where the scholarships come with a service committment.
-
We have a lot of talent coming in from Our bench I hope they can all accept that role and how important it is.
-
We look much more confident on the road this year. Better rebounding helps and we have some shooters and bench depth.
-
I 100% agree with you, just wonder why some didn't feel we were the class of the conference when we were #2 and #3 a few years ago.

All he does is make 3s! @!
-
Did he just say "That is Greg McDermmets kid." If this is "just ballin" I like it.

Uh all things are never equal. There are plenty of reasons a student-athlete chooses a school other than the past seasons record. At some Universities they actually recruit kids who are interested in getting an education in their field of interest. There's one.
-
How about we limit the discussion on the ones that got away and focus on the ones that are coming - it goes back to wanting kids who want to be here if they change their mind better now than later.
-
Perception is reality if someone create an issue I'm sure Jones either knew or was told he had to make a call to smooth it out - whether it actually existed or not.

There are several sections of this article where you could substitute the name "Hak" and it would still fit. TImes have changed, there is much more parity in college hockey which is a good thing. When UND really started going after top notch Canadian hockey players (many decades ago) the gopher fans didn't like it and started dissing UND as a non-American team. All of a sudden it wasn't a one team race. Competition is good.

And other than offering scholarships to those of that quality, bringing them in for visits, keeping in touch with them, having current players bond with them what else should they be doing - we're not at the level of buying parent's cars or having donors provide high paying jobs they don't have to show up for.
-
I dont remember anyone being a defend at all costs if you weren't in the "fire him now" camp you were labeled a defend at all cost.
-
I'm in. Why don't we rotate and invite a different Big 10 team's fans every year? With a caveat that we are looking for hockey fans that are interested in talking hockey not smack.
-
Nice to kick ass on someone in the Big Sky - big game against Montana hope the fans show up.
-
Somebody finally noticed they forgot to throw the switch.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin/ UND finished at #141 in the Sagarin out of 254 schools with football. Not where we want to be but we are headed in the right direction.

This thread is pure troll bait and once you get them in your house they are very hard to get rid of. But I suppose it's better than having all the action be in the "Fire Coach" threads.
-
So then you would have to agree that North Dakota continues to benefit from having one of the premiere college hockey teams in the nation year after year.

Every school loses good players every year - and to say that no one is not replacible is insecure and disrespectful to those who are staying and working their tail off. I'm willing to assume there is more to the story and his decision, but wow tough decision to walk away from a great education, personal growth plus the opportunity to be a visible role model and help others set goals. I'll assume he considered this in his decision and did what he felt he had to do. Best wishes to the young man.

I say we stop comparing our football fans and experience to SU and just keep moving ahead. The crowd is coming back. I will still say that UND doesn't do much to build the excitment or on tailgating (now I know when they read this they will shake their head but if you keep doing what you are doing and get the same results that's insanity). Ideas have been shared here several times by tailgaters to improve and grow the experience. Also I must say I can't imagine you would ever see an SU Sucks sign or banner at a UND event that was not playing SU - out of sight out of mind - but not down south.
-
Just like in Division II days other schools will step up - dynasties do end, quite obvious that right now second tier football is not very balanced. I like the quality of our program from top to bottom. How great would it be for UND to be the team to end the run. Someone is going to do it - hopefully next year.
-
As they say in the Geico commercials "when you are a fan posting on your own school's fan site bashing rivals is is what you do." Every comments doesn't need to be rebutted by visiting trolls. Most of us understand it's just chatter.
-
Here we go again it's been less than 24 hours and some SU fans have no place better be than a UND fan site. Hey it's a UND fan site that means things are going to be said about other teams - especially ones we dislike. Those comments are typical for what fans would say when they are tweaking other teams. As has been said dozens of times what SU has done is historic in the second highest tier of college football. If that was my school the last place I would be the day after we won a national championship is on another school's fan site hoovering to reply to comments. I do have to say the team should also be commended for staying out of alley fights and away from shopping malls with their junk exposed (see what I did there.)
