It might have already been shared but at the home opener the crowd caused one, if not two, false starts in the first half.

Tailgating free food report I can't believe I ate: Shredded pork and a beer in Champions Club tent Couple slices of T Rex from Rhombus Guys Hot Dog from Grand Forks CVB Barbeque pork from Ground Round Jalapeno poppers from the Oslo/Alvarado tailgaters A beer Chips and bean dip Slider Another beer Sioux shots with some tailgaters There were questions about free food - info I got was there will always been free food in Tailgate village. They want to attract people early for the game who don't have tailgating spots. Next week is Potato Bowl - lots of baked potatoes, pork burgers etc free at the RRV Potato Growers Tent. Come early, eat often.
-
There is almost always free food on site, Potato Bowl is the best. When you join the Champions Club for $110 they feed you inside the booster tent.
-
I think tailgating opens 5 hours before the start of game time and closes 1 hour after the game.

2012-13 Basketball Attendance.....................
CMSioux replied to bincitysioux's topic in Men's Basketball
Yes I can see your point and I was single when doubleheaders were in style. Having the consistency of Thursday/Saturday games should help (and playing for a real conference championship - trip to the Big Dance won't hurt either.) -
2012-13 Basketball Attendance.....................
CMSioux replied to bincitysioux's topic in Men's Basketball
Obviously the first impact on attendance was the transtition but do you think that no longer having men/women double headers is another reason? Those were a great night of sports entertainment now it just seems like half of an event. The good old days.... -
Tough for out-of-town fans to make the drive also - but I will be there.

New Fantasy League Idea - you receive one point for every post you make that shows up on BSville. Also one point for each response the comment gets over there. Getting points is going to be as easy as shooting bison with a bazooka. Keep your own score in your signature by just adding your number to it. (I'm betting I earn points for this one.) P.S. Just read this don't post to it so it disappears faster and the league can begin.

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
CMSioux replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
Not gonna read em, not gonna respond to them - let's start ignoring the trolls that feel like they have to "correct" us on every comment made on a UND Fan Board. -
POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
CMSioux replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
Lots of spin on the BSville, gee I seem to remember there was a thread a mile long over there about their perception of broken promises related to UND and its quarterback recruiting - right about the time they should have been discussing their national championship. Everyone moooves on in different ways I guess. Based on the opportunities we have for football opponents now, it's not a big deal if we meet on a yearly basis ever again to me - trolls just add fuel to that feeling. -
11 days until the kick-off and I don't have my season tickets yet? I know they came late last year but wouldn't getting the tickets into our hands help generate excitement for the season? Not raking on UND just a Fan-atic.

It's not a fashion show, but I've always liked black, back in the days when they were the Sioux.
-
It's called obsession.
-
I hope they can hold off - there are reasons other than ability why freshmen get redshirted - academics, adjusting to first year of college, etc. Imagine four years of Golladay with the quarterbacks we have in waiting.
-
You'll know me by the shirt I'll be wearing
-
Oh and we are all on board about making it an energetic section.
-
Really? I did the same thing and added two season tickets for some friends.
-
Best wishes to Joey - if being the giarranteed starter was that important to him best he move on, too bad he had to wait until the last minute - seems like a decision made without much thought for the long-term - now he's looking for a team and any team that brings on a quarterback this late is in for some player controversy. For 99 percent of players at this level it's about getting an education and parparing for the next level in life - not sure that was the priority here - just my opinion - no ill will to him - best wishes

Okay - Jacoby's for a monster burger- you gotta be up there in age to remember that place. But the original question was where to bring the kids while in Grand Forks - I nominate Space Alients.
-
How about the Fighting Higgs Boson! - it' unique, the center of all that is essential. You can't see, smell, taste or feel it (thus you can't be offended by it) and few people understand it. Okay I'm joking.
-
This kid is going to win us some close games down the road. It's a game of inches and he could be the difference.
-
I'm not a local anymore but Happy Joe's seems very kid friendly and they have the every popular buffet for kids. Be sure you get down to tailgate alley early so the kids can experience the team walk through and the marching band. There is usually a band and free food too.

Being one of the "Teams to beat" fits that goal I believe. Every year in the NCC the expectation was to win the conference and make the play-offs, I think UND adminstriation and staff has shown they are committed to making that a regular expectation once the dust has settle from the transition. I am positive it is part of every recruiting conversation.
-
Yup, the key word is "A" team to beat every year. In the last five years of the NCC the perennial teams to beat every year were UNO, UND and SDSU. Beat two out of three and you were going to the playoffs.
