  1. As a UW graduate school guy, even though as a Colorado resident I did not get a cent of grants or scholarships for my master's, I am grateful to the state of Wyoming and UW for keeping costs down, even for out of stater's like myself. This *IS* something that North Dakota should do. Absolutely.
  2. Um... It's a fill in the blank as opposed to the usual multiple guess questions offered up at the College of Home Economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science. Sorry if it threw you. That had to be a real mind-twister for you.
  3. If I had to bet money, I'd put it on Roughriders. It's not my first choice, but then who in the heck is going to vote for "Screaming Weasels"...
  4. Don't forget that academically, UNC is a joke.
  5. I love the mountains...but like I said just before...lots of beauty in our country. Not just hills and mountains. Hey, I'm your quote! I am honored...somewhat! ;o)
  6. You know, the mountains are beautiful. But, when I visit North Dakota, I always try to come in mid-August...closer to harvest time. Beautiful time of year. TR National Park...very nice. The bluffs along the Missouri.. Hey, my favorite place to go is the Turtle Mountains and the International Peace Garden. Drive a bit east of GF and you have some beautiful lake country in Minnesota. Nice places all over the country. But, still, Greeley is a s#%$hole.
  7. What's sad is the stink that comes from Greeley.. You'd think they'd at least bathe the animal beforehand... Gotta give the University of Agriculture and Applied Science credit for at least doing that...
  8. Indeed. Greeley, to put it mildly, is a cesspool. Worst facilities in the Big Sky Conference. They're probably stuck with their coach because the poor alumni support for their football team more than likely won't buy out what miserable money he makes... The Bears are the patsy of the league with little hope to get better. But, they do fulfill the goal of being close to the Denver media market.
  9. You can reschedule. I've been a season ticket holder to a D-1 program (CSU) and I've been to Bronco games...therefore, I feel I meet both the D-1 and Pro qualifiers for the job.
  10. Good point. That's kind of a Cornhusker tradition. Get the big guys and linebackers from Nebraska...skill players wherever you can find them.
  11. It is a well known fact that those that earn a lower wage tend to engage in criminal activities. I would suspect that those "scholar-athletes" are just preparing for life after they earn their needlepoint certificates from the college of home economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science.
  12. Living in Fort Collins, I've been watching and talking to the athletes at CSU that Coach Mac (Former Offensive Coordinator) at Alabama has worked with and brought in. Impressive. Of course, at 1.3 million a year, UND couldn't afford him..but someone from Saban's program...intriguing. http://www.denverpost.com/colleges/ci_24551507/csu-rams-become-road-warriors-this-season-under It's not really the quality of players that are starting to come in, it's the attitude. This running back, Bibbs in the last two weeks has broken both yardage and touchdown records for CSU. The media is told hands off. The media expected Coach Mac to fawn over him...he didn't. He said he's a running back, he did what he was supposed to do. 300 yards? Why not 400? Next question. Let's talk about the other facets of the game. Let's move on. Like with Saban, there is an expectation that the plays should be run to perfection. The scoreboard is secondary. Every practice is extremely well organized and has a purpose. Some practice time is spent in the classroom...teaching the student athletes how to act like they belong. How to shake hands. How to greet people and fans. Say please and thank you. How to study. How to conduct themselves on road trips. At home. How to be a better person. High, high expectations of behavior. There won't be a rogue program of criminal behavior like at the college of home economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science. Even a 300+ yd RB would get the boot in those circumstances. You bring that kind of guy into UND, and he will have huge success recruiting in the Midwestern base. Sorry, but I believe that people from the upper midwest are better people than I have met from other parts of the country. I won't back down from that statement. Oh, btw...I like CSU, but I'm a Wyoming guy. I really wish they'd bring somebody like Coach Mac to Laramie.
  13. Well, the international students at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science were taking advance goat herding technique courses. At the University of North Dakota, petroleum engineering.
  14. The guy is a flippin' jerk and abuses players. Screw him. Let him get canned and let Bohl take over the Husker program.
  15. Wristen would be an interesting choice. I wonder if UNC is going to fire their coach this year? With the poor support they get from alumni, it might be hard to buy out that contract. Plus, if it was between UND and UNC for Wristen...hmmm... I think UND could win out.

    Fire Muss

I wonder if Faison is lining up the buyout money. That happened at CSU and CU-Boulder before they announced the canning. Although that money was much bigger...still gotta take care of that kind of stuff in a state institution before the axe comes down.

    Fire Muss

Fire Mussman. New indoor practice facility on the way. Indoor stadium. Premier FCS conference. It's a good gig. We'll get a good coach. Only typing majors from the college of home economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science would think otherwise.
  18. Mussman should spend the week packing his office. Nancy Davis State 42 Rudderless UND 18
  19. There ya go! Love to see that Big Sky Championship! Can't wait to see them play in Greeley next month!
  20. Gotta have that positive attitude! (Now, I am envisioning Mussman coming back from his weekend in California to find his stuff packed in boxes and stacked neatly in his parking space with a pink slip taped to the top box. Nothing would make me happier this weekend..)
  21. Oh, I totally understand. But, from a team's perspective I say go for it. They should always have the mindset not to beat a point spread, but to win the game.
  22. I like that attitude. Seriously. Win. Screw losing. I'd hate to think of a locker room atmosphere where the coaches would say,"Oh, just try to stay within 20...let's not get hurt..." What a pansy assed attitude.

    NAU and UND

I will alert the Fargo police department.
  24. Highway 36 from Lyons, CO to Estes Park, CO is opening on Monday. A month ahead of schedule. That makes me happy!
