  1. We need not worry about The University of Home Economics playing UND in the near future. They appear to be joining the Big Sky Conference with their scheduling. It's just a matter of time.
  2. As a Bronco fan, I would say yes. But, it would have been a great grab. The ball came down in his area, but he was pretty well covered and couldn't adjust to the ball in time.
  3. Maybe they are making fun of it at thirdratefelonyville.com, but not here. Probably says more about the FU fans that come here than what happens on that board.
  4. TD Denver..not Hardin, but he was on the same route with Jordan Norwood who came down with it. (Yeah, kinda lame, but at least he was on the field for the go ahead TD...)
  5. There we go... Hardin went deep...didn't come down with it...
  6. Maybe late in the game. I have my doubts...
  7. I have the Broncos game on. Let you know if Hardin gets any time.
  8. In the mind of Suzy Chapstick, their resident class 3 felon, they are.
  9. It would have been interesting if North Dakota, and even South Dakota, would have taken on the system set up by Wyoming. One, maybe two state universities. None of the small four year schools scattered throughout the states. Maybe they would have ended up competing on an even playing field with Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin in football or basketball? Maybe UND would have grown into a school of 25 to 30,000 by now? Memorial Stadium would have 40,000 seats? Grand Forks may have been 100,000 or so? We need to build a way-back machine and make some changes!
  10. I thought FU was officially the University of Home Economics?
  11. How about "Sodbusters"?
  12. I more agree with Herd that there is going to be a change in college football in general. The FBS/FCS scenario we have now is going away. An elite "Big 5" will be in place, followed by a lesser division of programs like the MWC, MAC, etc. Dropping down even further is the flock of FCS programs. The BSC and MV football are in no position to rise up with their current members. It would take a lot of $$$ for that to happen. Historically, these schools have never been willing to spend that kind of cash. Basically, it's looking like it will just be a updated version of D-II football in their futures.
  13. I agree with Herd. Really. (I gotta go wash my hands again...)
  14. BC is a better team with him, so that kinda sucks for us. But, I'm glad he chose BC over the juniors. Good for college hockey. (God, I frickin' hate BC....gotta go wash my hands now...)
  15. Lower tier divisions don't have dynasties. They have streaks. Now, do you hear that buzzer? Listen... That means your break is over. Time to pull the fries out of the boiling grease.
  16. As is your point about coverage of college hockey. That, also, has nowhere to go but up.
  17. In other words, there is nowhere to go but up with football and basketball at UND. While hockey at UND is at the highest level it can attain in college sports. Exactly.
  18. I say we do it! It would be unique!
  19. Everyone knows that FCS is D-i in name only. It's second tier. I'd love to see UND win at the FCS level. But, it is what it is.
  20. Hakstol frustrates me. But, a lot of programs would love to have him. In the history of North Dakota hockey, no coach has been "bought" by another program. UND has had some great coaches. Some have ended up coaching at other programs, however, they were never given more money to go elsewhere. Ever. That's because UND is an elite program that pays college coaches at the highest level. Now, look at the history of #buttfootball? If they do well, the coach is gone. For more $$ and more opportunity at the college level. You can't do that to UND hockey. There won't be more money and there isn't more opportunity at the college level. Because UND is an elite program in hockey. They are an Alabama of hockey. The only elite college sports program in the state of North Dakota. I love UND sports, but the others are second tier at best. As they are at the College of Home Economics.
  21. It's mainly because the College of Home Economics, like UND, are not able to pay out the huge salaries to their basketball coaches and football coaches. If UW can steal the savior of #buttfootball from the ag school, that shows that they are not a top tier school. Hakstol, however, will never be "bought" by another D-1 hockey program. That's because UND in hockey is an elite program. The only elite program that exists in North Dakota in D-1 sports.
  22. I, too, have visions of a Screaming Weasel riding into the stadium on a horse.
  23. I have a suspicion that when I go to Laramie for the UW/UND football game in 2015, the new nickname will be in place. Just a hunch...
  24. Good concert. They still got it.
