North Dakota has a surplus of 4-year schools. I do not think they need another one, unless there's a serious realignment of the current group, e.g., closing some down or reducing some to 2-year "feeder" community colleges for UND and 'SU. I recall Bismarck had the option in the late 1800s of getting a state prison or a land-grant college that would become 'SU ... let them lay in their own bed.

I agree. Minnesota may actually beat this NC opponent. One patsy game does not a D1 dynasty make.

Yep. I remember tipping a few with him at Whitey's and The Antique (RIP). Great guy, and another fine example of former Sioux players having success after they leave school.

Not really related to the name/logo issue, but a shining example of how the NC$$ gives bigger, "name" schools a pass, while meting out punishment to smaller schools. Linky
