Football is in its position due to one main reason, the hiring of Chris Mussman. Not the fact that Faison says we have the best hockey program in the country. Give it a rest. The basketball team sucks for similar reasons as I understand.

People get used to having herpes too! But in the end it still sucks and life was way better than having herpes in the first place!

Brad is a seemless transition that will put the current and future players more at ease, but is it worth it in the long run? Time will tell if this was the right move or not but moves like this are the status quo for UND. We are very inbred when it comes to hiring hockey and football coaches.

. This is great arm chair quarterbacking! It was a fluke goal and it was played fine. The shot was blocked onto a stick of a rushing attacker that made a perfect shot. Blaming one person in these instances are what lynch mob fans that have little hockey knowledge do best. It was the same thing that happened to Finley when he flipped the puck out of the rink in the regionals back in the day. What people failed to realize then is that he cleared the puck out of harms way and that if the puck isn't on end and is 6 inches lower, it catches the glass and they would have won the game.

Good post! There are things in his game that many people don't see that set him apart from many college defensemen. I will admit at times his effort appeared subpar, but some of that was what you were referring to in your post and wasn't always what it seemed. He is a very good hockey player and would be a huge part of the team next year. Unfortunately for us Sioux fans, he will go the way of Forbort, Smaby, etc. and leave early to spend time developing in the AHL.

Thank you for this! A couple of suggested names got me interested until I realized that it was due to fatigue of this tiring process. Nothing will do unless we can be the Fighting Sioux! Since Fighting Sioux is not an option, nothing (no nickname) is the best option. There is no better way to honor our lost beloved nickname while thumbing our noses at the NCAA. If we have to have a nickname, North Dakota would work! Beats any lame ass name being thrown out there, unless you like Spirit, Sundogs, or Force.

Why does women's hockey lose so much money? Like pointed out earlier, it is a bus league and Idalskis salary can't be that much. D3 schools have it, so why does it cost so much?

Why drop women's hockey? It is the second most successful team sport on campus. Drop men's basketball first! They suck!

Same old cast and story here. This thread is like a bad movie sequel that tells the same tired story as the previous one. Same old bullies telling everyone to "grow up" or you don't know what your talking about or even better you care more about the name then the university. Fact is there are more people wanting no nickname than there are people that can agree on a nickname. If no nickname is one of the three that is voted on it will be a landslide victory! Welcome to the wrath of the nickname debate. Make a comment about maybe going without a nickname and BAM, you get mocked and ridiculed by 3-4 posters on this board almost immediately. For what it's worth I knew every nickname on your list.
