This is funny! Very original. ....a guy named Mussman can help you with that. Muss was a joke. The tragedy was the AD that let him keep his job 3-4 years longer than he should have. I'm not saying we would be a top 10 FCS team, but it would have been nice to have been in the playoffs once or twice since we were eligible. Bubba has done a good job, but the hole he started in will still take a year or two. This weekend will not be pretty. Not sure the ag school will cover the spread, but I just don't see us keeping it within 2 scores. Our offense will kill us.

Boom! You nailed it. Before the leap to Div 1 I went to a lot of games. Now, not so much. I would have rather been golfing or doing something else yesterday then go to that game. All the apologists can blame this and that, but like I have said time and time again, get a better product and people will support football. The sad thing is that after the Wyoming win, people were primed to get on board. I talked to a lot of people at the game yesterday that said this was the first game in a long time. Huge opportunity lost!

Maybe the Alerus realizes hard liquor makes the experience more palatable.

Maybe the Alerus should install those reclining seats that are showing up in movie theaters. I would pay the extra money. They are awesome, especially for movies that suck. I could get a good nap in and not feel ripped off when the game is over. The other alternative is put a product together that doesn't suck!

I agree and disagree with this. For the most part, the play calling in the second half was awful. It was obvious that one team made appropriate half time adjustments and another team did not. The student section was fine. They filled their sections for the start of the game. Unfortunately the filth they had to watch in the second half drove them out. Another reason they and a large percentage of the rest of the crowd left early is the game environment. Yes the intro sucks. It sucks bad! The new PA guy also is bad. What happened to the other guy? He was good. Fireworks were a joke! Please get the REA staff over there to straighten this out. The Alerus experience is awful! I would agree on your assessment on where this team is right now. Not as good as last week, not as bad as this week. Unfortunately, that is a big gap. To be competitive next week, they need to play better than they did against Wyoming. Instead of building on an impressive win, they took a step backwards. Bubba did not look very happy in the post game presser. He looked almost rattled which we didn't see last year, even after getting taken to the woodshed for a few games. This one really bothered him.

Yep, but after halftime I heard very little of anything. Then I thought to myself, maybe the comment of Sioux chants dwindling isn't really based on the fact that people don't use them anymore at non-hockey events due to wanting to move on. I think it might have to do more with the fact that most of the non-hockey events give the fans very little to cheer for. This was my first football game I attended for a couple of years. Unless things change it might be awhile for me to go back. The second half was unbearable to watch. The defense was good, the offensive was predictable and awful. Silver lining is that this performance will probably save me a couple hundred bucks on a ticket to next weeks blood bath. How many times does a freshman rb have to fumble in a game before he is benched for the remainder of a game? Seems like the answer might be 4 for this coaching staff.

Believe it or not, this is a message board and has no ties to a coaches game planning. Injuries get targeted. It happens in football and hockey. Not saying it's gonna happen this time, not saying it's the right thing to do, but it happens and coaches know it. That's why it is important for them to protect their players that are vulnerable.

Wouldn't it have been better if the no-nickname option been on the list? The stakeholders should have had a say in the matter. If it would have lost through the voting process, it would have been an easier pill to swallow. I would have been able to accept a nickname chosen by the stakeholders rather than have one shoved down my throat via a censored list. What was everyone afraid of by putting the no nickname option on the list? My guess they were afraid it would have won! But we wouldn't want the most popular option. Us silly minions don't know what's best for the University. We need great leaders like Kelley to tell us uneducated hicks what's best for us!
