Let's hope our shooting percentage goes up a bit. Lots of shots on goal, not a lot of chances converted. What is nice to see is a guy like Simonson emerging. I always liked his ability to play strong in both ends, but to get scoring production out of him will really help this team. Another strong night from Matt H. in the net would also go a long way to help this team.

Bubba...."we are not playing very well right now"......."better be playing hard cause we will be re-evaluating throughout the season". Obviously he was pissed. Unfortunately he can evaluate all he wants. When there are no studs in the stable, then what?

Yep. Pat and Mike were pointing out that Georges body language was not taken to kindly by the coaching staff. Bubba won't stand for that, but it's hard to blame some of these kids. At least they are not laughing and goofing off like the players during the Mussman regime.

Plenty of blame to go around. Tough to coach D2 players competing against D1 players. Let's face it, we've got some nice players in some spots, but the overall talent isn't their to compete on a consistent basis. Montana's #3 QB is better than any we have on our roster. The real issue this coaching staff needs to deal with isn't necessarily X's and O's, it's recruiting talent. On defense the secondary is awful. On offense, except for some nice true freshman RBs, there's not a lot of talent. Dark days resume for UND football!

That about sums up the day. What a tragedy our football program is! Glad I golfed and missed the first 3 quarters. Listening to it was painful enough, watching it I would have wanted to burn my eyes out with a soldering iron.

I understand why you decided to stay home to watch the football game. There was likely more on the line for the football team last night. Like it or not, Bemidji's hockey program is not a whole lot different than UND's football program. There are a lot of similarities if you sit back and really think about it.

Bubba isn't going anywhere, nor should he. I think he will turn things around, but it will take some time. Saying that, I also don't think criticism from time to time is a bad thing. The last two weeks deserve a little criticism due to the major 4th quarter collapses. #toughlovecovenant

That was my point. The football team had a legitimate chance at making the playoffs this year, but choked the last two winnable games away. Now the playoffs are a distant longshot. That was the basis of my "at least there's hockey" comment. This is what set everyone off. Some people like to blame the hockey program for the football programs current state. It's almost like blaming the Bison for the same thing. Football is struggling based on past bad decisions by the AD just as the men's BB program. Why did Mussman have a job as long as he did? Why does Brian Jones still have a job? It sure isn't the hockey programs fault, but some on here could sure spin it that way. BTW I am a fan of Sioux football. I grew up going to games as a kid in the 70's and 80's. Hung on a goal post when we finally beat the Bison in the 90's. I also flew on the teams charter to Florence when we won the national championship. But I guess that doesn't exonerate me from being a "hockey only" fan. Kinda funny I was called a troll last night.

I'm not enjoying this losing at all.

I agree! I'm surprised that people didn't crucify me last week for predicting a loss. This week I true truly believe we were gonna win. How do we not run the football in the 4th quarter against this team? Mentally this is a fragile football team, especially in the fourth quarter.

Yep, me and the others that won't show up to watch a subpar product. Unfortunately our support will be missed when the seats are empty in the Alerus. By the way, the annual choke job does an Ok job of filling seats. Over the last 2 decades (with the exception of a couple of years) every season there is realistic hope to hang another banner in REA. The football program is years away from being there.

At least you got the tongue in cheek comment. The last two losses are going to be devastating to getting people to watch this team. Unlike other schools, football isn't the only show in town where people will come out to games no matter how they play.

We are still a joke! On a positive note Boeser had a hat trick to lead the Sioux to victory with its #3 goalie in net. It wasn't pretty, but they found a way to win. Something we can't say about the football program right now.

Well I can go back to pretending I don't care about Sioux football. At least hockey season has started. Good luck selling tickets to the Alerus!
