Old Time Hockey

This is a lot like having to go pick out bathroom tile and you only have 5 really lame options. The problem is you have to pick one and will have to live with it for a very long time. This really sucks! The only good news for me is that I won't be disappointed that one particular name doesn't make it. I might just draw one name out of a hat for voting purposes.

I'm not a naysayer, just had a bad feeling that the injuries in the secondary would be problematic. You can say next man up all you want, but when you lack experience and depth this is what happens. Unfortunately this was a game this team had to win for a playoff birth.

Good post. He is a true soph and has a winning record. There will be growing pains but I think we need to worry less about him and worry more of a offense as a whole. The offensive line sucked the previous 2 games. The WR position has been below average all year. Fumbles plagued the team vs Drake. Play calling was a little suspect vs Drake and the Ag school. The easy way out is to blame the QB when things aren't going well, but there is more to it then what is perceived on the surface. If he lays an egg over the next two games then we can have this discussion again. But for now, I make a motion to have this topic tabled!

foresight like the current president? The only foresight he had in this process was the fact that the North Dakota option was going to win, so he pulled the plug. I will stick with the rest of us non-visionary hayseeds that wanted no nickname, especially considering the crap options that were pushed on us. The two votes in this household will probably refrain from voting.

You are proving my point! Kelley appointed the committee (some good members, a lot of bad members). If you think I am wrong ask yourself this: how the hell did Sundogs make the list? Kelley strung the name along because of public outcry, then went against a majority of stakeholders and decided to disallow the name for the vote. If you don't think there is a majority that support North Dakota ask yourself this: Why is everyone so scared of having it on the ballet?

I, along with many others put forth North Dakota as their choice. Remember that name that was strung along through the process? The same name that would more than likely win in a landslide.

I was speaking specifically to the process of selecting a new name. And yes, I do blame Kelley for that circus!

The more I think about these 5, the more I come to the conclusion that they all suck. It seems like the mentality is.....just settle on something for the sake of getting it over with. I thought our University was better than that, but I've been proven wrong. Undoubtably, poor leadership got us to this point. Can't wait until he is gone!

I tend to agree! Tough to get excited for these options.

I went to the game last weekend. The problem is people have to prioritize their time when they have busy lives. My view on any team I follow is spend more time on teams that are excelling and less on ones that are struggling. I still care, hence my posts on this site. I am a hockey rube, when they suck, which hasn't happened for some time, I follow them less closely. Just because someone refuses to go to every home game, doesn't mean they are a fair weather fan.
