Ahhhh. The power of duct tape.

I was at home when the 1st tower was hit and didn't have the TV on, but when I drove to GF, I made a stop at Walmart for a few office supplies and there were people standing around watching the TV's. I ended up in the sports department, watching TV in disbelief with another guy that I didn't know. Doesn't matter how much of a tough guy you are, or try to be, this guy and I both had tears running down our cheeks. Spent the rest of the day listening to the radio, and got home ASAP to find out more from the news reports. My cousin was on business in NYC at that time, and we were all quite worried about him until he made it home. A day that will never be forgotten.

Tonight it's UND's Britta Hanson and Mayville States Tara Thompson going against each other. Both are from Thompson and were teamates in high school. They were on the team when Thompson won back-to-back state titles in '05 and '06. Had planned on going, but my daughter had way too much homework tonight.

Whatever you think it's worth.....then double that.

BTW. I did spend $4.50 for a bucket of popcorn for the family, not to mention sodas and chicken strips and fries. I thought the popcorn was terrible. Not talking spendy (although it is), but it tasted like it was left over from last game.

Bonus for #4, Matt Cole. All the football jerseys (at least the child and youth sizes) at Scheel's have #4 on them. Must have ordered them last season to be ready for this fall.

Would have been nice to keep it at that till the end of the game. The student section ended up with about 12 people in it. I think they bolted after the drawings for the semester of free tuition.

Keep leaning toward McCain.

I don't think the arena was even close to 50% capacity. Remember how it echoed after the seat was pounded on? Thats the sign of an empty erena.

Bob, Sioux-cia called me with this horrible news. I have had you, Will and your family in my prayers. I was in Rochester until today and made a trip into the chapel at St. Mary's hospital to say an extra prayer for you all. I'll be keeping up on your CaringBridge site, and will be hoping for the very best. Dawn Give Will some hugs and kisses from me. He is such a cutie.

I had Al as a teacher in DL. I still see him occasionally now, and I think he is a great guy. He will be missed in DL by many...............except Higgens, I guess.

You could always make another trip to North Dakota and get bleacher butt with me. 4 days a week of daughters softball games. Then 3 days of fishing on Devils Lake. Or you could sit back and enjoy the Austrailian winter. Sure it's nothing like ours!
