  1. We are switching to Dish, but I'm not sure of the final price. Mr. Siouxmama did all the negotiating. Like Bob mentioned above, the FTA systems are good to have, too. You can get FSSN with that.
  2. Until you get that bag off your head...we dont belong on the list.
  3. I'm not sure about this, since I have been a DirecTV subscriber for about 15+ years, but I think only the cable companies (Midco and Cable One) will carry FSSN. As of yesterday, we are signed up to switch to Dish. DirecTV will offer a free HD DVR to new customers, but someone that has been with them for 15 years has to pay $199 for it. We will now get 2 HD DVR's and another regular receiver, a better program package with more channels and will now be paying less $$$. Still no FSSN though I live in rural Thompson, so have no option to change to Midco to get FSSN.
  4. Does anyone know what time Al's bus leaves for St. Cloud, and what time they head back (directly after saturdays game, or the next morning)?
  5. Mr. Siouxmama and I wondered the same thing when we decided to open a 2nd location in town. We had a business on the north end for 5 years before we opened on the south end. Now, they say that it takes about 1 year for your new (or 2nd location) to get to it's full potential. That was about true in our case. Our south end location has more in sales now, and it hasn't taken anything away from the north end. I think we gained customers on the south end, that thought it was "to far to drive" to the north end. And, those that were true to the original location, have stayed there.
  6. Just looked at my atlas. That looks like the most difficult WCHA trip to make out of all of the teams. It may be a while before Mr. Siouxmama and I get to that arena.
  7. You take care of yourself. See you back on here soon.
  8. Thanks FHG. Hope you enjoyed your weekend in Grand Forks.
  9. Was it? I thought the other jerseys looked to dark to be BU's. I watched it again, and the part before that about the Penguins and Boston had a clip of Michigan!
  10. YIKES! What was Chorneys final amt?
  11. This has nothing to do with Sioux/Gophers saturday, but, I was watching a Saturday Night Live Sports Extra that I had DVR'd on Jan 4th. Got to a "Sportscenter" skit with Ray Romano and a SNL cast member (cant remember his name) and they were talking about hockey with the Coyotes and they showed a clip of it. The clip was actually the title game of 2000 between UND and BC. It showed the last seconds of the game and a short time afterwards of the celebration. Had a good shot of Goehring. Has anyone else ever seen this?
  12. Is "Tail between your legs" considered a lower body injury?
  13. Unless the T's would be given out free at the door, it will never be a total white out. Maybe not even with a free T. I thought it looked pretty good tonight with as many white T's and jerseys there were. And I think I like the T sold at the Ralph better than the Scheels T. Thought it was easier to read. Hopefully tomorrow, those that "Didn't get the memo" will be there in white, too.
  14. I won't rant, but this is bu!!sh!#. How am I supposed to watch The Young and the Restless?
  15. Are these different than the shirts they are selling at the Ralph?
  16. The top/front of the t-shirt says "THE BATTLE CONTINUES" That and UND and Minnesotas logos pretty much sums it up.
  17. How can anybody take PETA seriously? Sea Kittens? About as bad as Flickertails.
  18. Wasn't the game we played there 2 years ago a come from behind win? Seems to me it ended up as a 7-4 game, but it wasn't pretty for awhile.
  19. As well as the rest of us in the arena. We all thought it went in and then noticed the guys just standing around the goal. Finally one of the refs was waving the "no goal" sign. PHEW!!

    Jobs

Can anyone answer this? Is it really more profitable for the guys to stand out on the corner of Walmart or Target, freeze their a$$ off with a cardboard sign in their hand and ask for money than it would be to actually go to job service or businesses to apply for a job? And what about the guy with the dog. How does he feed him?
  21. The US has a great team too. I just think you are caught up in the moment (and being in the host country, that would be easy to do). Cheer away.
  22. OK. We know where your loyalty is. May as well cheer against your home country for the rest of the tourney. EDIT: Boyfriends may come and go, but your nationality will be there forever,
