Virg Foss once said he thought Gino would have the best chance at winning with a team expected to win, while Blais would be his choice with an underdog. Blais was intense in his way, obviously, but he had a kind of "what the hell" quality that helps players loosen their grip, IMO. Maybe these Flowers From Bucky will loosen our boys up a bit. Bring on whomever whereever.

We thought we lose a game and we're out, then we learned that maybe we're still in even though we lost last night. Nobody pulled a rug out from us fans or the team.

Having to root for the Badgers is perfect punishment for us being in this position in the first place. Only thing worse would be having to root for . . . you know.

Brandon Bochenski was a sniper, but mostly he just put pucks on net. True scorers have a kind of confidence that the puck will go in and don't try to water bottle every shot. There are many nice players on this Sioux team but not an elite goal scorer among them, and that is important this time of year. Fortunately, the door is not closed yet.
