I picked him as my grinder/dark horse man, so I'm disappointed in the decision, whose ever it was.

It sure is nice, though, to see excitement in C Springs. Been missing for too many years for such a good program. Just like it's been good to see excitement in Houghton, though their drought has been much longer.

It's too easy to just overlook the improvement CC has shown the last year plus. This is not the same program it was 3 years ago. Although they lost a bunch of games last year, they showed they could play with the best, beating us once, UMD twice (along with a tie and one-goal loss), beat SCSU once, and lost 3-1 two times against DU. This year they have also shown they can play. They're not Denver or SCSU, but they're not MTU of ten years ago either.

We all knew this team would win by committee, and that is what we have seen, win or lose--mostly win. Hopefully, there's a Caggula or Frattin among them. They played well in the third, so that says something. No guarantee they will turn the corner into a contender, but I'm gonna withhold judgment until I see more hockey. They can play defense, and that could be a big deal, come March. Right now, my goal for them would be to win enough games to make the tourney and develop a team that can beat Denver in March. But I don't know half as much about hockey as most of the posters here (and that's no secret), so I'll just hold on and enjoy the ride.
