  1. Actually he also called him a f***ing faggot to his face. I dont think that had anything to do with his suspension but it DID happen.
  2. If they make it to the semis they do always play on Friday night, but they would still have to win the play-in game to get that far.
  3. And I was at the Ralph three years ago when the Gopher won 6-0. I've never seen Sioux fans bolt for the exits so fast in my life. My point is that to think that there's a big difference between the two fan bases in this regard is silly.
  4. Just pointing out Sioux-cia's hypocrisy in saying Gopher fans only support a winner. And considering the long waiting list for Gopher season tickets I highly doubt Mariucci will ever look like the old Ralph looked during those few years.
  5. Typical Sue fan response, convienently forgetting the half empty Ralph during the down years in the 90's showing the true hockey fans they are.
  6. Prpich, Greene, Blake, just to name a few. Every team over the years has these types of players. By the way why didn't you mention Westrum? He's the first Gopher that comes to my mind when it comes to cheapness.
  7. We don't marry our cousins.
  8. Looks like someone has a short memory about the half empty Ralph during the early-mid nineties........ Oh wait, it's siouxguyinstpaul, this is par for the course for him.
  9. It was at the old Ralph, I'm pretty sure it was the '90-91 season.
  10. Ben Hankinson kicked Hakstol's ass!
  11. I think the Bina goal is the one that screwed his head up even more than it already was. It's tough to live that one down. Giving up shoot out goals to a player like Toews is understandable and certainly not emabarrassing. If anything he should have come back from the world juniors with a ton of confidence after the way he played.
  12. I don't know who you're thinking of but it's not me. As you can see I joined this forum in December of '05 which was during the freshman season of Toews and Oshie. That would make it tough for me to predict a Sioux demise on this board prior to their arrival wouldn't you think? Got any other stuff you'd like to make up about me? And for the record I'm not predicting a horrible season for the Sioux next year. I'm just saying losing your top two forwards, your top three d-men, and your #1 goalie is a lot to replace and it may be a down year for UND's standards. No need to get bent out of shape, it's just my opinion.
  13. I can see a similar fate for the Sioux next season when Oshie, Duncan, Chorney, Finley, Bina, and Lammy are all gone.
  14. Did you watch the Gopher/Sioux series in December? The Gophers were the better team for the majority of the weekend. Both teams have seven losses in league play. To be as cocky as you and some fellow Sioux fans are being to assume that the Sioux will be in St. Paul and the Gophers won't just doesn't make sense. The Gophers are four points out of third place with two games in hand.
  15. Sadly, he is being serious. Goon's paranoid when it comes to refs and the Gophers.
  16. Brace yourself TRIOUXPER, but I've been agreeing with every one of your posts on this subject.
  17. While most Sioux fans on here have been very level headed and can see this simply for what it is, Snow trying to justify snatching a kid out of college in the middile of the season, I'm not surprised that you truly believe there is something to what he is saying. If Snow really believed Lucia is a bad coach then he would've signed Okposo last summer when he was pretty much begging him for a contract. It's pretty tough to coach a kid and help him improve when his heart isn't into it which has been very obvious with Okposo from the start of this year. The only reason he was on the Gophers is because Snow wouldn't sign him and now a few months later Lucia can't coach? It just doesn't add up. A five year old is smart enough to see through Snow's bullsh!t on this, why aren't you?
  18. I think that's a good description of him at least from what I've heard. I recently heard it's pretty much a toss up on where he'll go.
  19. I see you convienently forgot about the weekend where the Gophers play at Michigan and Michigan State. I wouldn't exactly say that playing Michigan twice(neither of which is at Mariucci), at Michigan State, and Boston College would constitue a weak non- conference schedule. And Ohio State isn't that bad a team either, they beat Wisconsin a couple weeks ago.
  20. Two years ago the Sioux won the Broadmoor and made it to the Frozen Four with four freshmen defensemen playing each night. The gophers this year will only have two frehmen d-men playing regularly, Fairchild and Wehrs. Bickel is also a freshmen but out of the eight d-men on the roster he is clearly the eighth right now and won't see much ice time, especially in the second half. There are still question marks of course but players like Fischer and Peltier need to step it up like Vannelli did last year. If that happens the D should be solid. Not great but solid. As far as goaltending goes I expect Frazee to have the best season a gopher goalie has had in a long time. He was rather cocky and immature as a frosh but he's matured a lot on and off the ice and it sounds like he's in the best shape of his career. He was great in the playoffs last year and he's ready to be the go to guy. The Sioux and Gophers will both be great next year and we better enjoy it because both teams will lose a LOT of talent when it's over.
  21. Actually the press release said that Carmen will only miss the first semester. He will rejoin the team shortly after christmas. With Okposo returning the Gophers return every forward on the entire roster from last year's team. I can't remember the last time that happened.
  22. Completely different type of injuries. Hagemo had nerve damage, Goligoski doesn't.
  23. It's nice to see you've licked your inferiority complex.
  24. Stafford and Zajac got plenty of power play time with the Sioux also so I don't buy that argument. And even if Zajac was the greatest defensive forward college hockey has ever seen it still doesn't make up the difference of having 21 LESS goals than Potulny.
  25. Just pointing out the flaws in THETRIOUXPER's argument. Not that it's hard, I think a pre-schooler could have seen how dumb his logic was on this point.
