  1. Hope Murray's addition is for depth and has nothing to do wiith status of any existing ILBs. Have no reason to be worried, just saying.
  2. That video doesn't help my patience for next August to get here quickly!
  3. Don't need your help. We're policing our own just fine.
  4. Dammit! I just had to keep up my average 1.2 errors per post going, didn't I?.... I meant Knox.... for some reason I get those two mixed up a lot. Thanks for another assist, SWSiouxMN!
  5. So am I correct in that we lose Loyd and Szabla to graduation, and that Strand and Swatzke are red shirting this year and will be back next year, and that we have Gorres and Borroughs (Denver transfer) coming in, but Coughlin (Minnesota transfer) is done with basketball completely?
  6. good point! Adjust table accordingly. Never mind, I did it to reflect current realities.
  7. Let's do an inventory here (I may be a bit biased ): UND/Grand Forks SDSU/Brookings Existing verbal X IPF X X FCOA X COACHING STAFF X X SCHOOL QUALITY X TOWN QUALITY X DISTANCE FROM HOME X X ACADEMIC MAJOR UNKOWN UNKNOWN FCS SUCCESS X

    2016 Season

As of now, it looks like 3 of UND's first four 2016 opponents will have new coaches installed (not sure about Stoney Brook situation). I don't know if this is good or bad. Some teams may be getting used to new schemes, but it makes it that much harder to prepare for.

Yes, I plan to. Although I think the football SID is getting a little tired of having to monitor my posts. Honestly, though, the entire AD staff has always been gracious in giving the public access to practices. Some programs restrict access to 30 minutes, which usually only entails special teams work.

That is great news! I read the first few words of your post and my heart sank. I was dreading the rest afterall that's how a lot of posts used to start in the football offseason (for us), and they were usually followed by departure news of some sort. I'm not naive enough to think we might not have some of that still but it sure is refreshing to read something like this. August can't come soon enough for me!
  11. if it's something you "care" about then 37 pages will fly right by. I know there aren't a whole lot of pictures to help you along the way with picture clues, being a Moo U guy and all, but buck up, you can do it, because you "care." Besides, it seems you have more than enough time on your hands to be posting inane BS on another school's message board at 10 am on a Thursday. What else you got to do while you wait your turn at Job Service, right?
  12. OK, the only thing is, none of this that was asserted above to be happening here in Grand Forks (i.e. clothing nazis) is actually happening.
  13. Exactly. This is not happening, folks. Move along, nothing to see here.
  14. Speaking of rushing prowess, the only FCS running back in North Dakota to make this list is from UND. Hmmm? Who could that be? (caveat: This site needs better proofreaders as they have ISU RB Marshaun Coprich listed as coming from NIU -- Oh well.) http://herosports.com/collegefootball/watch-top-5-running-backs-fcs/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Article&utm_campaign=FCSFootball#

WR: walker, Reed and S Carr will be wild card role players if they get/stay healthy and stay on the team. I'm curious about Toivonnen coming in and whether he can contribute Hoping soft verbal recruit Cloyd sticks with us. I see him as a Kyle Ruhe type with may be even more upside. OL: I was hoping to have a bit more depth on the line going into spring ball so we could go all out by the spring game with two full squads . Looks like we'll have one reserve this spring, barring no departures and no second semester additions. Losing Mertz didn't help.
  16. I'm trying hard to ignor Griz fans, too, this week. I really want to root for them on Saturday as a member of the BSC, but after seeing a sampling of their trolls on Facebook, degrading the rest of the BSC, especially SUU and PSU, it's making it really difficult to like them. They come off as entitled and arrogant as the trash that spills over here (save for Bison73 and the like). READERS DIGEST VERSION: Griz trolls saw nothing wrong with the noncalled PI against SUU; just part of the game unless "it's against us." And It seems the Griz would have destroyed everyone in its path were it not for injuries to their top QBs. --Doesn't everyone have that injury argument? Pathetic. Oh well, Go Griz! Go Big Sky!

Yeah, maybe in hindsight....but I was at pretty much every fall camp practice this year heading into the Wyoming game and I read everything I could from as many sources as possible on UND football (yes, including the stuff from we geniuses here on SiouxSports ) and I didn't think it was really clear who they were going with until game week of the Wyoming game. I think Studs, Ryan and Joe would have said the same back in August.

actually, height has always been the knock on Ratelle, not speed. He's got plenty of speed.

Rhetorical question alert: How big is it going into next year with little to no question at starting QB? It's been a while.
  20. Cookus for NAU had a phenomenal year as well. Not that surprised. Hell, the two might even share national freshmen of the year honors. They're that good!
  21. To add insult to injury. At the ISU home game, I was watching from the north end looking down at the DB nudging Santiago before the ball arrived from Bartles. Clearly a PI but to no avail. It would have given us four more shots to win the game. Refs miss calls. Should not have put it their hands. Coulda, woulda, shoulda... I know... but to be one quarter away from a playoff berth is just maddening. Oh well, fuel for next year.

Also, co-freshmen of year goes to John "So long" Santiago! Amazing that Will Rattelle had more solo tackles (63) than the Big Sky Defensive Player of the year Cowser of SUU had total tackles (62). Area 51, you will be greatly missed!
  23. I know that. Still a transition anda bit of unknown.
