  1. One can only hope once he and Costantini get going we will be that much better five on five. Need those guys to step up.
  2. I was listening to that feed for over half the game before I realized it was on Midco. Night and day!
  3. It’s not like Denver doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt to begin with.
  4. Will be interesting to hear if the Bruin's will hear from the victim's family, or if he isn't going to be allowed back in society.
  5. The same people screaming for Berry's head and longing for the days of Hakstol, are the one's that said we needed a change because Hakstol couldn't win it all. People think that it is just a given that UND will always be a winning program and things can only get better. I have a feeling if UND got rid of Berry or he left that people could be longing for the days of winning league championships and being in the mix every year. Sometimes it is the case of "be careful what you wish for".
  6. You just seem overly impressed based on draft position.
  7. Doesn’t make him a better player because someone confirms it. The higher picked, the more likely he won’t be around as long.
  8. I definitely think the strategy was to make sure they didn’t get a ton of net front shots and shut down the lanes preventing the cross ice pass resulting in an empty net.
  9. Frankly, six games into the season, I would be more than o.k. with those numbers from here on out.
  10. We can only hope that once he get's going, he doesn't disappear when we need him. They need to figure out how to press his buttons so we can get him to be more consistent, something you shouldn't have to say about a Senior. Hope he figures out that besides playing for his hometown team, he is playing for a future contract.
  11. Saw that James Hagens had a hat trick and an assist with 8 shots on goal last weekend for the NTDP. Is he going to play with his brother, or do we have a shot at him?
  12. 9-7 isn't the end of the world. I think right now, Duluth's slow start, especially at home has been the unusual part.
  13. Thankfully, UND has traditionally been a team that builds as the season goes on and works on shortcomings. Much rather be a team that does that than start out like a house of fire then goes backwards. There is a reason Duluth hasn't won a league championship forever, but still seems to be one of the teams to beat in the NCAA tourney.
  14. Plus they have some nice transfers in Mastrosimone, from BU, Ty and Dylan Jackson from Northeastern, and Lukas Sillinger from Bemidji State. Add in Josh Doan and Ryan O'Reilly who at one point we were interested in, and they have a decent lineup. They seemed to make easy work of CC last weekend.
  15. Just ask Michigan.
  16. “UND hockey, beating more talented teams since 1948”! There is a reason that Minnesota is the home of perpetual losers, they don’t realize that a little heart and grit goes a long way.
  17. Guess I need a bigger sampling to make that statement. The talent is certainly there, but St. Cloud just swept Mankato, and Minnesota split, not surprising losing on the road. Won’t be any teams they face that have more talent, except maybe Michigan, but there could be a couple teams that could catch them on the road.
  18. A win is a win, and actually we came out better in the pairwise on the weekend than they did considering they were on home ice.
  19. I think part of it was UND trying to stay tight in their box after all the lapses last weekend. Even though we are better equipped speed wise for the ice surface it just doesn’t fit our game of playing physical, because if you take a run at someone and miss there is so much open ice to make you pay. Not surprising, Minnesota is so much more efficient on the ice they practice on every day. Thankfully if we see them again, they won’t have to deal with the large ice surface. Minnesota has had most of their problems with Mankato on the smaller ice surface. I think they realize that it is a disadvantage to them at NCAA tourney time.
  20. James did have some missed assignments last week, so wondering if this is more of a defensive move. We all know the big ice surface can create even bigger problems. I know there were a lot of missed assignments last week, but who knows how practice went this week. Kunz is sitting too.
  21. Why am I thinking Kleven will get a five-minute major?
  22. Things aren't perfect right now to be sure, but how many years have we led the country in attendance. And what problem exactly have they created? Every other program in the country would love those problems. The "problems" UND is having is emblematic of a shift in student interest and other people deciding where/how to spend their money. It is trickling down to UND, but as a whole it hasn't yet become a dire situation like it was/is for the state of hockey's big program.
  23. I don't know, I see a lot of UND fans at all venues in our league and beyond, and I know they don't live in all of those places.
  24. The fact that you are only running into this now is pretty impressive. Plenty of teams run into the lack of hunger even after one championship. Keeping that passion for this long is quite the feat.
  25. So no destination game for at least 3 years after the Vegas game?
