So do we know when Bast will be back? Would be nice to be able to sit someone when they aren’t playing well, and he impressed me last year in his limited action.
-
When things weren’t going well for long stretches I was hoping Strinden would have been inserted on one of the lines to see if he had some energy. He was the extra skater I believe.
-
He was saying the players are less frustrated because they know they can play better and control that themselves, thus have less apprehension about what the future holds.
-
I thought the same at first, but actually he was smart because if he would have gone faster the ref would have waived the icing off because he would have been able to get the puck. It barely crossed the line as it was, but since he let the guy close the gap, the ref had to recognize who was ahead at the dot.

Not out of line, just need to realize things can change on a dime. There is a reason Duluth hasn’t won a league title in over 30 years but has been known as one of the top teams in the country over the last decade. You need to find a way to make the tourney and be playing your best hockey then. I’m holding hope that Moore, Frisch and Kleven will take major steps forward which has been one of our problems so far. Good play in the defensive end will lead to better transition out of the zone and hopefully spending more time in the offensive end.

The good thing, is that other than Denver, everyone else is splitting as well, so winning series against the rest of them is necessary with our out of conference record to this point. Denver went on a run after getting swept by us last year, let’s do the same.

Travis Dunn trying to blame this on youth. It’s our veterans that have been just plain bad. Cooper Moore, uff!

Maybe the worst thing that happened was the goal early, because they thought they could play shutdown hockey after the first 6 seconds. Remember when UND used to be the team that were relentless on the forecheck and hard to play five on five. I fear if they don’t go 4 for 4 in the next stretch, another Fargo regional could be shot. Maybe a good things for the fans that they haven’t started selling tickets to that yet. The rest of the games before Christmas are critical to flip the negative direction.

I worry about the game in Bemidji, as I don’t think we are playing hard enough to match how hard Bemidji plays.
-
My biggest concern isn’t what the lines are, although I agree these look to be mismatched. My concern is how many of our upperclassmen look to have taken a step back this year, including half of our defense. So far, I am getting shades of St. Cloud, and not seeing the passion or extra effort needed to succeed in this league. That needs to start tonight, because the underclassmen need that example to live up to.
-
My point was that if you are already getting top draft picks and not succeeding, NIL isn’t going to magically make you a better team, because college hockey has shown that upperclassmen are a big part of the equation for success.

It's early yet, but they seem to be playing great hockey. I am still not sure if they have an answer for their Achille's heal last year in net, but they have a little more offense this year to make up for it. Who knows, Hakstol might still be in Philadelphia if they had an answer in net there. They didn't bring Hart up until Hakstol was gone, so I find it odd that they let Hakstol go when he traditionally has teams perform better after the New Year, and even more odd because they didn't give him a viable NHL goaltender.

But to truly be an elite team, you shouldn't be looking at a cushion you have between you and the rest of the division, you should be looking at securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
-
Did GF RR lose anybody?
-
But can you do better than all the first round draft picks BU has had in their lineup?
-
That’s why BU is always beating out Duluth and Mankato. Oh, wait…
-
What looks like a great pick up at one point, doesn't always end up that way. Singleton was at one point considered a top WHL prospect, but now I would imagine his future is up in the air. Another reason why people need to relax about us needing more commitments because others are getting a bunch. Hopefully he figures it out.

Is this ESPN plus or Midco plus?
-
I truly hope that hypocrisy is exposed. Wish every statement or act Bettman has made since he was 14 is scrutinized, and he has to live under the same standard.
-
Yes, plus Craig McTavish. So apparently you can not only play, but coach. https://www.sportscasting.com/craig-mactavish-missed-an-entire-season-of-his-nhl-career-for-killing-a-26-year-old-woman/

https://www.bladeofsteel.com/Local-parent-claims-Mitchell-Miller-is-being-lied-about-shares-her-side-of-the-story-173187&s=22 It’s hard to know what is the exact truth in this situation, but weren’t there NHL players that actually killed people while drinking and driving while they were adults and still managed to have careers in the NHL?
-
What was most frustrating to me was the linesmen trying to make themselves a focal point by not dropping the puck. Can’t imagine if you are one of the faceoff men and have to deal with that, especially with the threat of a delay of game penalty looming while the ref is playing a game of Simon says.
-
If that was Kleven, 100% he gets called for that, especially with the follow through.
-
One can only hope once he and Costantini get going we will be that much better five on five. Need those guys to step up.

I was listening to that feed for over half the game before I realized it was on Midco. Night and day!
